Im sad to inform you, that Peter Cargill has succumbed from wounds sustained in a minivan accident in his home country of Jamaica over the weekend. Peter was 41 years of age.

If you don't know who Peter Cargill is, he was a player, a jamaican player for Maccabi Netanya. He started his career in Israel in 1989 and pretty much ended his Career in Israel as well. Peter played in Hap. Petach Tikva for a year or so, but came back to Netanya shortly after.

He is very famous in his home country of Jamaica where he was one of the players to join the Jamaican NT in 1998 in France for WC Finals... He had 84 Caps for Jamaica and was considered a dynamic player for the Caribbean team...

At the current time, he was coaching a leauge team in Jamaica called the Waterhouse FC and also took part as an assistant coach to the Jamaican NT.

Im not much of a fan for Mac. Netanya, but Peter Cargill was a superb player....he will be missed... Peter "Reggae Boy" Cargill 1964-2005

RIP Peter. :( Netanya will hold a minute's silence before today's game. What's even more terrible for Jamaican football that it's the third time in recent years a football star dies in a car accident. What a tragic coincidence. A great person and footballer, at least he had the chance of playing in the World Cup in 98. I remember him giving interviews for Israeli media then. He found his death on his way to practice, dying for what he loved so much, very sad.
