I'd like to apologise for my earlier post, it was made in response to many an argument with Italian fans over the last weeks, especially King Italy who repeatedly came to our forum (and some distasteful posts here eg. the Italy haters bullcrap) to solely make trouble. He wasn't even man enough to defend himself after lying infront of everyone.

Friendly rivarly is encouraged, I can hardly see anyone's FM status being revoked because of a little football related 'argument'.

So all in all, give credit where it's due, two goals were rightfully disallowed(I've just spent an hour reviewing them) and the game was good to watch. Good luck to your team in the later rounds, you'll certainly be there I think.

the list is long,

do some searching and you'll see the insults were flung at us and our team for weeks. Makes victory all the sweeter. We've been shown some amazing disrespect, and my emotions got the better of me, most understandably, I'm sure you'll agree

Dear Ero,

first of all congratulation to Croatia, they did a good game.

On the 2 goals, just how can u said that they were rightfuly disallowed??? Come on, I have to say that Croatia did impress me, but this 2 goals were 100% correct, espacialy the first one (Zambro was 1m behind the las men and Vieri was 2m behind the ball)...The second one was 50-50 the 2 guys take the jersey of the other...But the croatian is the one who started...

NOW it was just to show u that u were wrong on this, BUT I DONT CARE ABOUT THIS...In fact for me this is the game hazard, u can condemn the ref, u have to watch at ur team...

Ive made the decision to dont comment trap choice during the WC, cauz I think that critiks should make b4 and after, but not during...

I will only say that Totti is a miedfield and we had 4 forwards on the bench, espacialy Del Piero and Montella....How can u send in Inzamerda when u have players like this on the bench?????How can u let Baggio and Di Vaio at home, when u have looser like Inzamerda and Delvecciomerda on the bench?????

How can u let home Ambrosini and Conte (even Tacchinardi) when u have people like Gattuso big monkey Di Livio the bastard on the bench??? And for Ferrara??? WTF is doing Materazzi down there????? 4-4-1-1???? What this ****ing module mean????? Trap has all the card in his hands, but he is destroying all, cauz of his fear, of his catenacio????

Do u see man, I dont care about the mistakes of the ref, with the true Italy team I know, with all my respect, that we can pass ANY team, even Croatia...

Its strange but this situation remind me the game against Chile in 98 we were loosing and we came back for the final 2-2...Damn I cant remind who was the guy who shoot on the Chile's hand and score the pk after...We r missing this guys and in this kind of situation like today, he will have score Im sure...

Now if trap doesnt win the cup, I will shoot his mother****ing face, thats sure...

Sagha you are right about one thing, if Italy had not made those basic mistakes in deffence and Materazzi not been really absymal in his attempts to clear the ball, Italy would not have needed those two goals.

Especially Rapaics goal was really pathetic to see, not because the goal was awful, but because Materazzi was just standing there waiting for Rapaic to finish. He should have kicked away the ball the first time Rapaic kicked it into the air. That was some of the worse deffending I have seen by an Italian player ever.

You obviously must have some problems with your eyes if you think the 2 goals were rightfully disallowed.

Vieri was BEHIND the ball when it was played to him. Therefore he can't possibly be in an off-side position.
Is this simple situation so fúcking hard to understand. Know the rules before acting like a wiseguy.
I would be embarassed to be so sure of something only for it to be so easily proven wrong...

Disallowing the second goal was at least as controversial. If anything the Croatian defender was pulling Inzaghi's shirt when Inzaghi was trying to reach the ball. Before that they both were grabbing each other but nothing worse than what happens at every corner or freekick situation.

Whether Croatia deserved the win based on the play is a whole other matter.

Ero hasn't mentioned why he thinks the goals were 'rightfully disallowed'. He just said he watch the replays. He is also entitiled to be blind.

If you, Ero, have a problem with someone....thats your problem. Whos cares if u were revoked or reinstated. u have the authority to ban, i suppose , on your side. We are talking soccer here....not you nor your emotions.

i dont think anyone can respect ero's soccer opinions and judgements anymore.....after saying how vieri's first goal was rightfully offside i have completley lost all respect for your soccer knowledge.....be happy that croatia won and was helped by the refs....if italy had won liek this i woudl be thanking the high heavens that somehow incompetent refs are hired for the world cup

Zambrotta touched the ball forward, Vieri was infront of our defense. The linesman made the call, FIFA is happy with it, Italy aren't complaining upon viewing it, only people here seem in denial

whatever the call, I can understand your outrage at being once again beaten by us, so feel free to let it all out.

It's good therapy

(isn't it sad that when someone honestly offers an apology for a moment of bad sportsmanship you children have to act like this? I thought more of you Mikey...and others)

Yours is gloating, masquerading as an apology. You also can't see and interpret correctly a replay of the disallowed goals, and you are ignorant of the rules...give it up, take your phony pious bull s hit elsewhere

These kind of apologises are made with good intentions, should be taken.

But ppl why are u bashing our team. It was not their fault that we lost. The linesman has publicly apologised for the error on Vieri's goal. So the matter is over. Nothing is going to change the result. Atleast we know that Italian NT is far better than Croatian Nt ( at this time) in a fair game.

The second factor is that Materazzi chose this very day to do 2 dreadful blunders.

But he is not a bad defender. Boys have some faith in our team. we can still do it. Even Nestas and cannas have a bad day once in a while. (remember the rome derby). So lets just get over with this and back our team for their match against Mexico. I know we can do it.

Yeah, Ero it was an offside.

They changed the rules before the WC into that being BEHIND THE BALL is offside nowadays too. Can you please explain to me how the freaking hell a player can be offside when he´s behind the ball? HUH?!

Really, I´m anxious to know. I must have missed the new rules that says that players can nowadays be offside when they are behind the ball. I´m positive we will see new tactics on corners and free kicks now, when the defending team can just run to the attacking teams goal and put everyone offside.

Give me a break!

I have no beef ultimately with the result of the game...I have no beef ultimately with your gloating. But you are behaving like a hypocritical s hite when you start a thread pretending to apologize, and you are actually taking the piss out people

Your ignorance of the most basic football rules is beyond imagination. How can you even dare to offer the slightest football opinion when you have no idea about the rules of off-side. You go around the forums claiming it was a good call when its obvious you lack the knowledge to offer a view. Vieri was BEHIND the ball. B-E-H-I-N-D. Do you know what that means? The off-side rule does not apply when the player is behind the ball. People have explained this to you so many times in various threads and you still haven't managed to get it across your head.

Get a clue or shut up god damn it!

And yeah, great "apology". It was so honest it almost made me whip.

These forced apologies from Ero and the Danish linesman cannot be accepted because they are not sincere. Both are being done to save their hides - Ero's from Xtratime because his initial post was unnecessary nasty and unprovoked and the linesman's because he needs his job w/ Fifa.
I'm just biding my time until Thursday. The rest is trivia.
p.s. Now DiBiagio is hurt again.
