it's worth it...but like N4L and fifa president said, it is easier to find a great DM than a great winger...there are always many great young DMs available than wingers...but i hardly think there are many great young wingers...i trust mourinho...if he thinks it's worth it, he'll do it...and i will support him and respect his decision...

i read that mourinho isn't too convinced about pele...he is portuguese and pele is portuguese....so i suppose that he knows so much about the kid more than any of us...but is he a very good talent evaluator? or just simple a great coach?

The last time a deal where we were to send a "possibly" star-in-the-making for a current star was when we wouldn't give Lazio Cristiano Zanetti for Nesta .... I remember that the deal was pretty much set and all over the news the headlines every morning were "Nesta 99% all'Inter" and all Lazio wanted was CZ...we were offering Dabo, heck, we were even offering Adriano instead too...however, Inter's brass at the time thought CZ was some superstar defensive midfielder in the making or something and as the story goes....Nesta has since only added to his greatness at Milan of all places whereas CZ is recuperating in some clinic in Turin.

well...it's too painful for me that u mentioned about that nesta deal...i m sure all of us knew what happened...we thought we had him...like this summer with lamps...we spent the whole summer to buy nesta...but lazio ****ed us and sold him to milan...:yuck: i m sure we offered enough cash...but the obstacle was that lazio wanted CZ while we offered them emre...after we failed to get nesta, then we immediately signed cannavaro...the rest was history...

even worse was that CZ left us as a free agent...the guy who we wanted to keep and refused to let him go for nesta... :yuck:

i m sure there are tons of good young DMs in the market...hell, we have some nice ones in serie a...i think there are some guys whose potential is as good as pele's...but it is difficult to find young good wingers...

now, back to this topic...i was the one who did not object this move..but certainly, this transfer did not turn out to be as good as we expected...i guess pele wouldn't have been a downgrade compared to muntari...

i think we are suffering from the loss of pele (not really a big loss but muntari isn't better than him)...plus, Q...sigh...really disappointed...

Pele at Porto has been way worse than Q at Inter.

For one, Q has actually played some matches and done okay in some of them and actually attends training.

but from what i've seen, pele has the talent to be a great DM...he just needs more time, as he is still young...i wonder if we would bring him back in the near future....perhaps not..

yes...that's true...but i think no one including mourinho himself expected quaresma would be that bad...there were players we have spent big bucks but didn't turn out to be successful... like farinos...

also, according to history, i don't think mourinho hasn't been that good in signing new players...he has made some good signings like drogba and essien...but also has made some bad decisions to sign some players...

You bring up Drogba, wasn't Drogba crap in his first year? Refresh my memory, I don't follow the English league.

maybe that's the question for those who follow EPL regularly...i didn't watch chelsea as much...had very limited knowledge about them...but i didn't think drogba was as bad as quaresma...

anyway, all 3 purchases (quaresma, mancini and muntari) are not having good year...2 of them are bench warmers and muntari makes u wonder does the guy have a brain...lot of stupid actions...

according to what i read, mancini, before we fired him, wanted guys like hamsik, hleb...i forgot who was another guy he wanted...i believed moratti wanted aquilani...maybe these guys would have been the 'safer' picks...

so i just want to say...perhaps mancini in deciding, dealing and signing new players is better than mourinho in this aspect...at least for us...

i really hate us going after old dudes...i mean...deco? 32 this year...drogba? 30, 31...something like that..maybe a year younger than deco...they are on the decline...why get them?? it would have been ok for me if we got drogba on loan last month...but next season? hell no...we will have a lot of time to make good deals...good young players available...no need to get old players...
