Nope. if Luiz Fernandez didn't have that pathetic and annoying rotation system trust me Ronaldinho Gaucho would pass Pauleta by a darn mile, Djibrill Cisse is also a better play then Pauleta.

1- - Ronaldinho Gaucho
2 - Djibrill Cisse
3- Pauleta
well although I am a parisian I must admit that portuguese striker PAULETA is the player of the year!
Pauleta, est vraiment un très bon joueur,il marque aussi de très beau but.Ce Samedi l'OL(Olympique Lyonnais) joue contre les Girondins de Bordeaux,ce match là va être interessant,Pauleta va surement marquer un but!
Hey! How come mon amie San Siro is not commenting on how this "Portugais" is the best player in France this year??

The numbers, and facts don't lie. Bordeaux would be fighting for relegation without this man.
Pauleta est le meilleur attaquant du Championnat.

Pauleta has been in inspirational form (Reuters)
04/29/2002. Pedro Pauleta, Djibril Cisse and Joel Muller have walked off with the French first division's end of season awards.

Bordeaux's Pauleta was voted the best player in the league after scoring 21 goals to help his side into sixth place in the table.

Cisse was voted as the league's most promising player after netting 20 goals for Auxerre in their push for a Champions League place. The French under-21 international could still make it into Roger Lemerre's World Cup squad.

Lens coach Muller, meanwhile, won the manager's award after guiding his side into second-place and within just one draw of winning the championship.

05/05/2002, Pauleta linked with Spurs and Newcastle

More about Pauleta Newcastle Tottenham Portugese striker Pauleta has been linked with Premiership clubs Newcastle and Tottenham.

The Bordeaux player has been voted player-of-the-year in France, but the club president, Nicolas de Tavernost, has surprisingly gone public stating he wants to sell him.

"We didn't pay much to sign him, but we could sell him for a big profit," said de Tavernost. "We are discussing the matter, and I cannot say more at the moment. What I can say is that we're very careful about the club's spending.

"A football club is also made to discover new talents, which is what we did with Pauleta. Once these talents are grown up, they can be sold for profit." Newcastle and Tottenham are both reportedly keen to sign the £10M-rated striker.

big shame if they sell him..just showing that they don´t care much how good the club is going in the leauge or the euro competition...

if he leaves probaly captain Dugarry leaves too...yeah and Ramé seems to be on his way out of parc léscure too....

HOW SHOULD WE STOP ALL GREAT PLAYERS FROM LEAVING OUR COUNTRY AND LEAUGE????????:(
I never seen a one man recking machine.. Until this year that is with Pedro Resendes "Pauleta"

Pauleta has been great and consistent throughout the whole season. :) He truly deserves his title. :)
For pure talent, in the French league, we can also mention Ronaldinho Gaucho, Djibril Cissé, Sydney Govou, Sonny Anderson, Eric Carrière and Fadiga.

I'm amazed in front of what Djibril Cissé has been doing this season!!!:proud::star::cool:
20 years old! He missed 2 whole months and still managed to finish co-best scorer of the league!!!The scariest thing is that he is only 20 years old!!!I'm sure he will be bigger than both Titi and Trez in the next few years, as he is the REAL BIG THING, THE BOMB Cissé. :star::star::proud::stuckup::cool:

The world will experience the making of a new superstar, during this year's World Cup, the one hailed to be the new Ronaldo!!!:star::proud:

ALLEZ DJIBRIL!:star:
Congratulations to Pauleta for the award. Well deserved. :)

He has what we call killer instinct, he can also score screamers but the most important: he's been more consistent than anyone else and if it wasn't for his little moment off (he couldn't score in 6 games) he would have taken Bordeaux to even higher heights.

As far as I'm concerned, I prefer Djibril Cissé's pure class when it comes to goal machines. The fact that that the newly capped Frenchman is still very young, which implies a good margin of progression, makes me think he will be far better than Pauleta in a near future. Honestly.

Not that I'm diminishing the Portugueuse's merits though. He will be sorely missed next season, that's for sure. :proud:

That I don't agree with. Pauleta scored 2/3 of Bordeaux's goals, true. However, the whole tactical scheme was adapted to his person. Had he not been there, the position would have been fullfilled with another targetman, with more or less success - probably less. Big up to the many players of the shadow that set him up so well.

Ciao.

PS - Payman, let's not jump on conclusions that fast, will you! Cissé better than Trézégoal in the next few years !? C'est quoi ces couilles ? :fero::eek:;)
