Brasil's NT manager, Carlos Alberto Parreira, will be watching a lot of games in the next days. He's particularly eager to watch the Arsenal vs. Southampton match, tuesday in London: he wants to see midfielder Edu (ex-Corinthians), who by all reports has been playing very well recently, to decide whether or not he'll call Edu for the march 31st Qualifiers' game against Paraguay.

Parreira won't limit his attention to the Arsenal player. After the game he'll have dinner with Arsene Wenger to know more details about Edu's current form. Edu was World Champion with Corinthians in 2000 and went to Arsenal in the following year. And since then he kept a relatively low-profile in the London outfit... until recently.
– I have to watch him; the informations I have are the best possible. We don't have to see how Ronaldo, Cafu and Ronaldinho are doing, they're always with us and we've been following their progress for a long time. The trip is tiresome but it's worth it. – explains Parreira, who'll be accompanied on the trip by his assistant manager Zagallo.

But looking at the list of games Parreira will watch, it becomes clear that he's looking for alternatives for both wingbacks. Today he watched the Borussia Dortmund vs. Wolfsburg match, too see how rightback Evanilson and leftback Dede are doing, Tomorrow Parreira will be in Italy to watch Mancini play for Roma against Juventus.

Wednesday our coach will watch the Manchester United vs. Middlesbrough game, to check out how Kleberson, Juninho Paulista and Ricardinho are doing. Particularly Kleberson, who hasn't shown his best football for Brasil since Parreira took over as manager.

A lot of flights from one place to another, from one hotel to another... but it's nice to see Parreira actively searching for solutions. ;)

Someone who is speaks Portuguese give him a blood call and that sap that instead of going to Italy, Germany, and England; he should be going directly to FRANCE to see Juninho PernabDUNCAN or whatever his last name is...however Dagoods truly likes the way this guy plays...he should be a starter.

Parreira is wasting money if he is doing just that. Dede is not playing, right ? He was there to saw Flavio Conceicao and Ewerthon also? Mancine ? He was the coach of Mancine for several months and see Juninho and Ricardinho ? What there is to see ?

garrincha,

Parreira maybe checking Edu to be the sub of Ze Roberto. Good choice... however i don't think both of them should be considered to start for us. We need super talent in the midfield;)
