This is from the Dialy Star:

Bobby Robson has scrapped a £3 million swoop for Peruvian ace Roberto Palacois - because he doesn't want another long distance commuter on the Newcastle books.
Robson is already fuming that Real Madrid target Nolberto Solano will miss the bulk of pre-season training because of World Cup commitments on the other side of the globe.
The Newcasrle boss is keen on Tecos Guadalajara schemor Palacois but refuses to run the risk of losing him from one month to the next.
He revealed "I've had to forget about him as he's in the same boat as Solano.
"Unfortunately we might not see Nobby for three or four months.
"It's annoying that we are the club paying his wages and yet he's not available to play for us." Peruvian skipper Solano said: "It's a shame the move is off. I know that the Newcastle fans would have appreciated Roberto's skills."
~Robson is in talks with Athletico Madrid regarding £4.5 striker Kiko afetr flying to Paris for tonight's European Cup final.
The hard-up Spaniards are ready to offload a number of players after being relegated but Kiko is only one of several Robson targets.
He is looking for a quick answer from the Portugese FA over whether Fernando Meira is available on a free-transfer after the defender walked out on his club Vitoria Guimaraes because of a wages wrangle.

What do you guys think? Does this mean the end for Nobby?
Solano has said he will only go if the club want to sell him and the way that Robbo is talking it seems that this is the case. Sha,e as he was a goo player when he was playing.
