Remember watching this happen live, it was in slow motion it was so excruciating. Hilariously bad, and typical of City in the mid to late 90s. 3 games to go in the season and scrapping for our lives in Division One, against another relegation threatened side QPR, Jamie Pollock, who by all means was a decent player that season and popular with the fans, embarks on a Gazza-esque solo run, finishing majestically past a stranded Martyn Margetson. We drew 2-2, and ended the season 22nd, relegated to the third tier of English football for the first time in our history. For this feat, QPR fans voted him the most influential man of the 20th Century.
Try growing up watching that. And laughing because if not you'd have to cry.
