Real Madrid coach Vicente del
Bosque said on Wednesday he would not seek personal gain from
success in next week's Champions League final against fellow
Spaniards Valencia.
"If I were selfish then I would be negotiating my future at
the club on the basis of a win but I don't work like that. For
me the club is above any personal interest," del Bosque said.
Del Bosque -- who has spent his entire professional career
with Real Madrid -- said he was discussing his future with the
club's management.
"I am proud of what I've achieved this year and I'm proud
for the club," he said. "I am happy at the moment but whether I
stay depends on many things -- many of them out of my hands."

and...

"For me, the European Cup final against Valencia is very
important but I don't want our place in the Champions League
next year to come down to winning the final," he said.
"I want to win Friday's league match against Valladolid. We
could still be runners-up in the league and that guarantees us a
place in the Champions League."

HALA MADRID! is all I can think of :)

I just read somewhere (probably in a mailing list) that del Bosque really prefers to work with the junior teams, just like Molowny did (a former legendary coach for Madrid and also a true madridista). If that's the case, maybe Sanz has good reason to start looking for someone else.
I also read that del Bosque enjoys a very high esteem from everybody in Madrid because of his really good caracter and loyalty to the club.

What can anyone say, the man is great, he's the one for us I think.
I only hope Sanz agrees with me!

Does anyone know what will happen in case he won't be our coach for next season? Will he return at his old post? I think he was something like assistant coach for Toshak. It's a shame for such a true madridista to leave the club for good.

Bull is all I can say... :) I don't believe he'll go now, even if he loses against valencia. Sanz I hope has realised that a guy like him is much mor reliable...

Mr. Sanz confirmed at a pressconference today that Del Bosque will continue as coach for the first team no matter what tomorrow's result would be.

Good choice from Sanz!!!
