Yet again they've made it there. Three bronze medals in a row and a fourth place from the last Olympics. And again they're running strong. Spain is a beatable opponent so there's a chance to see Lithuania in the final for the first time ever.

Lithuania's game is still far from convincing. Jasikevičius is well past his prime, Kleiza is talented but still immature and Ksystof Lavrinovic probably will never mature.

On the other hand the good sign is that Lithuania's game is improving. It took flashes of individual brilliance right at the end to make the difference in the matches against Argentina and Russia and Croatia had a fairly decent chance to beat us as well. But it is good to see that lads responded well after that off-day against Aussies and the game against China was the best in the tournament. Yao was under a constant pressure by either Javtokas or Petravičius, players helped each other in defence and found openings quite easily when attacking. It never really looked like if Lithuania would be about to throw the lead away.
