Nice schedule, good chance to see some b-ball during the summer for those of us who will be there.

Top 2 qualify as well as the 4 best third placed teams.

Now give us your full analysis DZ and other experts. :D I see a fair number of younger players there like Nedovic, Musli, Andjusic, Jaramaz, Milutinovic, Lucic. Also slightly older newcomers in Dabovic and Jeremic.

Who's missing from the list except for guys like Milicic?

Novica btw very important for Real towards the end of the season. Good news for our NT as last year we missed him a lot.

Turkey is, without a doubt, an even greater dissapointment than Serbia in this qualification campaign. They currently sit in 3rd position in their group, behind Italy and the Czech Republic to which they just lost by 18 points. Their only wins came against Portugal and Belarus (a 3 point win at home).

With so many quality players to their disposal, this is rather shocking. But it's all thanks to Bogdan Tanjevic :D, perhaps the biggest idiot in the world of basketball at the moment.
Why would you say Tanjevic is an idiot?

Well, just take a moment to remember his comments after Turkey defeated Serbia at the 2010 FIBA World Championship in that match where the referees absolutely robbed us. I started to despise him at that moment, but he's well known for his stupid statements in general. This man will never miss an opportunity to insult someone, including the Serbs.
Tanjevic is a turd. His latest comments insulting NBA coaches were another gem.

He insulted them because the jazz coach told Kanter he shouldn't come to play during these qualifications, which has been pretty costly for Turkey. I can see where he is coming from.
Yeah, but Sac - didn't Tanjevic say that more or less all NBA coaches (minus a couple) are idiots and have no idea about basketball? :D

True, true. :D He was probably letting off steam.

Let's be honest, most NBA coaches would be doing better with Turkey, so.. :pp
Terrible game last night. No defence at all, literally let them get in easy shots every time. Meanwhile we only seem to be trying 3's these days and failing miserably. We need to involve our big men more.

Campaign is very disappointing so far. Only way to 'fix' things is to win all remaining games.
Serbia 114-58 Iceland.

The game was played in Hala Cair in Nis (attendance: 4,600).

Slovakia 70-84 Estonia
Israel 76-81 Montenegro

Montenegro managed to do what we couldn't, and that is beat Israel in Tel-Aviv. Our next match will be against Montenegro in Podgorica. It's a crucial one for our confidence.
The entire arena in Podgorica just applauded our anthem, that was nice to see.
Yeah, link?
I'm watching it with Balkaniyum.

Ref has been retarded.
NOW or never! Come on!!!
Shocking how average we look in this campaign. Today as well, we hardly get any rebounds, play lousy defence and look pretty uninspired when we attack.

If we don't regain some composure within the next seconds, we're losing our third qualifier here.
And we're done, mother****ing *****!!!!
It's unbelievable how much we've digressed this year.

This team was expected to improve yet it's just gone backwards.
No doubt Dule, this was ****ing humiliating. Something is not right here, I understand we can't always be great or among the best, but to lose to these scrub nations, CG twice!!!, is a ****ing disgrace..:yuck:
Maybe Duda should have let someone else take over? He's obviously still a great coach but something is definitely up!
The problem is that Duda hasn't made any changes at all. Bjelica clearly deserves a bigger role with his play yet never gets the ball,Paunic still plays for some reason, Tepic who hasn't scored a basket in what seems like years starts every game and plays more than Andjusic, Savanovic is passed it and cannot keep up yet is still expected to score like he used to and play major minutes.

I can go on but really Duda needs to stop relying on guys that are just not getting the job done.
