Manchester United will return to the United States for preseason training this summer and play at least one game at Giants Stadium in an expanded tour put together by ChampionsWorld.

An announcement is expected Thursday on the nine European teams that will play 12 games at nine or 10 venues across the country.

Two games will be played at Giants Stadium, each between an English team and an Italian team. There also will be a game at Princeton Stadium.

The breakdown of teams includes three from the English Premier League, three from Serie A, as well as one team from Portugal, Germany and Scotland. Celtic, the runaway leader in the Scottish Premier League this season, has already announced its participation.
