Ecuador have nothing to hide as Italy coach watches training session

QUITO, May 23 (AFP)

World Cup finals debutants Ecuador welcomed a spy from Group G rivals Italy into their training camp at Tottori this week allowing assistant coach Conrado Coradino to watch a training session.
"He enjoyed the run of the place. Our coach 'Bolillo' Gomez believes there is nothing to hide," an Ecuador Football Federation statement said after Coradino visited the camp.
The two sides meet in the World Cup first phase on June 3rd at Sapporo, Japan. Croatia and Mexico are the two other nations in the group.
Coradino praised Ecuador, who came second in the ten-team South American qualifying group, after his 'spying' mission.
"Giovanni Trappatoni (Italy's coach) has great respect for Ecuador. He's quite worried by their game because of both the individual skills and their collective play," said Coradino.p
"They are a very physical side and their speed seems to be their most lethal weapon," he added.
Ecuador have beaten Turkey, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia and Italian club side AC Milan in World Cup warm up matches.

They are very capable of causing a surprise or two, but it probably is unlikely. If Delgado can do a few tricks then they might be in with a chance. Their best chance of a win will probably be against Mexico in their second game, which many people are tipping to go in Ecuador's favour, so we'll see

Yes we'll definately be the most technically sound team in the group.

Speaking of natural talent, it'll be fun to watch Robi tease the defenders with his dribbling, especially the great defenders of Italy:cool:

Ecuador coach tells his latin lovers to take it easy

QUITO, May 24 (AFP)

Ecuador coach Hernan Dario Gomez came out in favour of sex at the country's World Cup training camp on Friday, saying it can be hugely positive for the players.
"Sex is very gratifying if you are in good physical relationship, a calm loving one," he said. "If you do it slow and with lots of love a footballer can do it every day."
But the Colombian warned against bedroom acrobatics.
"But if you want to play the 'Bionic man' or think you are a sexual 'Superman' and go in for rigorous stuff, that ruins a footballer's legs," he explained.
Gomez went on to explain that sex was not an issue at Ecuador's camp in Tottori, Japan - none of the players wives were there.
"Unfortunately our wives and partners are not here so we can't do it anyway. But sex with love is a wonderful thing to have, rich and gratifying," he added longingly.
Ecuador take on Italy on June 3rd in their opening Group G match, the group also includes Mexico and Croatia.

Dont go flying off the top of the Dresser stuff !!!! :dielaugh:
