So after our defeat at the hands of an unimpressive-looking set of talents from the white portion of North London, our lads travel to the Black Country to try to get our quest for the fourth place back on track.

The problem is after despatching Man Yoo in a plucky display on Saturday, Wolves will want to add a rather less significant big EPL side to their scalp and more importantly, for their EPL survival. Arguably, Wolves is not really in the class of Spurs in terms of talent since they have a Spurs reject, Iversen, playing as their main striker. Moreover, they have many veterans, including our anchorman during Evan's time, Paul Ince.

Wolves can frustrate their opponents when they are playing on their heads up and lady luck is smiling on them. Add that to our lack of luck (as some would want to believe) with injuries or penalty claims, it can be a very tricky tie for us.

Anyway, we are playing for a spot in Europe isn't it? While many will expect the Mancs to tear their next opponents to shreds and bounce back from an uncharacteristic defeat, it remains to be seen if our resident Toad can motivate the team enough to attempt a start to a winning run.

Finnan must come in for Biscan and he should move Henchoz back into the centre with Hyypia, imo. It'll be great to have Gerrard and Hamann back together. Let's see what the boys can do...

BBCi Match Preview

Wolves will be without Hassan Kachloul, who has returned to Aston Villa.

Joey Gudjonsson is expected to take Kachloul's place on the bench with Wolves otherwise unchanged from the side which beat Manchester United 1-0.

Fit-again Steven Gerrard and Michael Owen will play together for Liverpool for the first time since November.

Jerzy Dudek will be on the bench despite a knee injury while Salif Diao and El-Hadji Diouf are away with Senegal at the African Nations Cup.

-----------------------------------

Wolves (from): Oakes, Irwin, Craddock, Butler, Naylor, Newton, Ince, Rae, Kennedy, Miller, Iversen, Ikeme, Clyde, Cameron, Gudjonsson, Ganea.

Liverpool (from): Jones, Finnan, Henchoz, Hyypia, Riise, Murphy, Cheyrou, Hamann, Gerrard, Kewell, Owen, Heskey, Dudek, Biscan, Traore, Otsemobor, Le Tallec, Welsh.

Would not be watching because @%#& ESPN decides not to show it.

Perhaps it is because Liverpool is now a second-rate team and not many football fans would want to watch them.

Sad state of affair.

Steven Gerrard makes a welcome return to the Liverpool side for tomorrow's game with Wolves with manager Gerard Houllier hailing the 'special qualities' he brings to the team.

The Reds' skipper has missed the last four matches with a thigh problem but Houllier has confirmed he will play from the start at Molineux as Liverpool look to bounce back from Saturday's disappointment at Spurs.

Houllier is delighted to welcome his captain back into the team and he says Gerrard has all the attributes to enjoy a top class career for many years to come.

Houllier said: "Stevie is a special player. He is a commanding figure in our midfield and he leads the team well.

"He has definitely stepped up a level in his play. He is good at protecting the back four and he also knows the right times to make runs forward. He knows when to be cautious and when to be daring.

"He is even trying more dummies and tricks now which is good to see. To be a special player you need to be able to do something different at times and he can do it.

"If he keeps listening and keeps working hard then he will have a very good career for both club and country.

"He will definitely start for us at Wolves tomorrow night."

Ouch, I didn't think wolves were going to get much out of the game when I seen bbc website at half time; Liverpool seemed to have dominated the first half.

Wolve's home form has been very good (not lost in 10?) and deserved something out of the game for the way they responded in the second half.

Still, another 2 points dropped.

Discussing/debating/agreeing/disagreeing.

Not a sentence after someone elses post questioning.Mostly parts of the post that dont need to be questioned.
