Seems like he´s the first signing for the next season. The good points about this are that he suit´s our system (good at counterattacks, but still able to play possession and create) and bad points are the possible departure of Aimar to boost our economical situation (which is bad)! Also have mention that he´s out of contract with Auxerre making him free transfer. Anyway here´s a couple of stories and links to get better view on him!

Kapo: What Juve deal? Tuesday 16 March, 2004

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Auxerre youngster Olivier Kapo has dismissed speculation that he has signed a contract with Juventus.

Reports in France yesterday suggested that the attacking midfielder had put pen to paper on a four-year deal.

Yet the player has today told a French newspaper that he has had no talks with any Italian sides.

"I haven’t had any contact with the Juventus officials," he told L’Equipe on Tuesday. "These are just rumours that are annoying me right now."

Kapo, who will be a free agent in the summer, was said to have flown to Turin to iron out details. "I haven’t been there and I haven’t signed anything," he continued.

His agent, Jean-Jacques Bertrand, has also poured cold water on the reports concerning his client.

"Juventus are a great club, one that can help to realise player dreams. But nothing is true," he stated.

"The only clubs that have expressed an interest are Spanish, English and French sides which you know very well."

L’Equipe went on to claim that Valencia are in fact leading the chase, even if Juventus could enter the race.

Other reports suggest that ex Juve player Didier Deschamps, now Monaco boss, alerted his former club to Kapo’s ability.

Juventus target Kapo: I'm joining Valencia
tribalfootball.com - March 17, 2004

Auxerre midfielder Olivier Kapo has put paid to rumours over his future by revealing he is close to signing with Valencia.
The attacker was reported in the French press to have committed himself to a pre-contract with Juventus, but he cleared things up yesterday, saying: "It's practically done, there are just the financial details to sort out.

"My agents are taking care of everything.

"They (Valencia officials) were there again last Sunday at Auxerre's stadium for the game against Monaco.

"We are waiting for news from them."

this don't mean nothing... this is just what their agents tell them to say to get more money. He was always going to Juventus.

kapo is good but i think that we do not need midfielders , i think that what we need is astriker that can guarantee us double figure number of goals every season.so if we sell aimar then i think that he will not be missed to much if we can get this person.
