Iceland midfielder Olafur Ingi Skulason is set to leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season and a host of clubs are tracking his progress.

Teams from The Premiership, The Championship and Holland are considering bids for the talented Scandinavian.

Skulason said: "I had a meeting with Arsenal representatives and they explained the situation.

"This is certainly very good news for me and lets me find a new club in the summer."

Skulason, who has played for The Gunners' first team in the League Cup, is now set to play his last game for Arsenal's reserves next week when a host of clubs are expected to take the chance to watch him.

"Olafur will be playing next week for Arsenal's reserves and after that he will consider his options," said his agent Dean Sheehan.

Best of luck to Olafur and his future non-Arsenal career
