Silvio Maric from NewCastle, Pizzi from Barca and probably Alenitchev as well! My god...what a formidable coup from good ole PDC...I must say that I am back on his bandwagon
with this trio in addition to Paredes, Capucho, a healthy Deco, Jorge Costa, Ricardo Silva, Paulinho, Domingos, Clayton..how the hell is anyone supposed to compete with us in Portugal.....

I thhink Pizzi left Barca aa few years ago and is playing in Argentina with Central.
He has dual nationality - Spanish and Argentinian.
Was at his peak in his Tenerife days but failed to make an impact at Barca and went back to Argentina where he has found his goalscoring touch again. But can he produce the goods in Europe? But in our easy league he should adjust just fine
Maric is a Magpie reject and his reputation in Newcastle isn't very good. Ruud Gullit was impressed with him when Silvio was playing at Croatia Zagreb. Gullit brought him to St. James' Park but he failed to adjust to the fast pace of the English game. He is 25 years old and has about 10 Croatian Caps.
I don't think either of the 2 are worth getting excited about but certainly useful additions to the squad. Pizzi is good in the air and Maric will take players on and play in a Deco role happily if asked to by FS.
