so do you think we can get promoted this season from the coca cola league one to the championship?

i think we will get to the play offs, but im not sure we can go all the way.

kenwyne jones has defiantly given us a chance with his recent really good performances.

hopefully we can extend his loan or even better sign him on a perm deal.

were currently fourth in the league and i think we can build on that, as we are only three points behind third place tranmere.

at the moment i think third would be a realistic place to finish in, but fourth would be a respectable place.

the players that have impressed me so far this season are steve maclean, kenwyne jones, john paul mcgovern and david lucas.

I suppose thankfully from Wednesday's point of view, they seem to have now reached a level where they can start building the club back again, after the descent from the Premier. I think you guys can make the play off for sure. Once you are there its anyones game.

Didn't you have Adam Chambers on loan from WBA earlier this season?
He hasn't had much of a chance to shine at the Baggies did you see him play?

Got them down for a 5th place finish, then like Ballis said, anything can happen in the play offs.

You're certainly picking back up again, and you looked awesome when you hammered us down here for the final 20 minutes. You looked as good as any team down AG i have seen down here for a few years. Hows Lee Peacock doing? I know he is injured but how is he getting along? Always my best player and got alot of unnessicary stick from our fans last year, he was our scape goat for not going up, when in reality, he got us in the playoffs, his goals earnt us 17 points, so it showed what he can do.

Good luck for the season, i just hope we dont meet you in the playoffs, i dont fancy 2 trips to Hillsborough in a week.

lee's still not fully fit, but should be back soon. if we can keep kenwyne though i caint see him getting back into the team.

proudlock has started training again
ndumbu is avaliable for selection
maclean is still doing very well with 13 league goals this season

but peacock hasent really had a chance to prove himself this season with injurys etc.

in the games that he did play, he really impressed me, hes really good in the air, and works well with maclean, because hes the sort of player that likes the ball at his feet, and peacock was tending to play these little flick on balls to maclean.

however i caitn see him getting a chance, seeming as kenwyne has no scored a remarkable seven goals in six games.

I see you guys have signed James Quinn from Willhelm II.
He used to play at WBA, where he was known as "Barn Door Quinn" as in "couldn't hit a barn door". When he does hit the ball its usually a rocket.
Winger not a striker.

he never really broke through at Willem II but he did play quite often since they have a small squad and their main striker this season was out of form and always injured (Iwan Redan). Big striker but not the best, though I don't know what that'll mean in division 1 standards. He might be handy at that level.

AFC Bournemouth 1 - 1 Sheffield Wednesday
Gaz O'Connor(11 mins)--Heckingbottom(90 mins)

I am gutted!!!

We really should of put you guys away for the 4th time in a row, but we couldn't find a 2nd goal to kill you off. :(
It was a hard-fought contest with few clear-cut chances, but the few decent chances that were created were very good goal-scoring opportunities.

At 1-0 I felt Wednesday always had a chance :( and I said it would be 1-1 before the kick-off :(

Kenwyne Jones looked ok I guess - he had a couple of efforts on goal from the edge of the area but our defence generally did well today.

Our early goal was very well worked, but the equaliser in the 2nd minute of injury time was scrappy. :(
Wednesday won a corner (which everyone went up for including the keeper) and Heckingbottom shouldered the ball and it looped up into the net :(

There was a bit of trouble after the goal, and I noticed some Wednesday fans cheering in a section of home crowd near me
Also a mentalist ran onto the pitch which held up the game for a while. It is unclear wether he was Wednesday or AFCB as I did not see which part of the ground he ran out from.
But once a number of stewards had eventually got him under control they attempted to walk him off between the North Stand & East Stand :googly:
This was stupid as a lot of fans were now waiting for the final whistle infront of the seated areas, and once the escorted mentalist got near it got quite ugly ...
with fans attacking him and throwing a couple of the plastic chairs used by the stewards during the game.
Thankfully some policemen came over and it all calmed down and the mentalist was escorted down the tunnel instead of through the crowd.

Then play could resume and the final minute of injury time was completed.

Well said!

oh and btw - the twat on the pitch was a Wednesday "fan" sat in a Season-Ticket holder's seat in the Main stand (apparently) :googly:

The police really were useless! :rollani:

i think he played shi* in that game, by far his worst perforamce in a wednesday shirt.

we didnt play that well in the first half but we improved in the second, last season we after we went one nil down we would have just lost interest, but under sturrock we seem to never give up and at the moment i think were doing really well.

i dont think we have lost in our last eight matches.

port vale on friday should be a decent game, we need three points though!

Ndumbu and Armstrong leave S6, their contracts have being terminated by mutula consent.

this suggests that there might be a few new faces at hillsbrough soon.
