I believe we will pick up only our second away win of the season this Saturday at the Walkers Stadium. After seeing the spirit and commitment against Bolton, i'm confident we will pick up a much needed 3 points.

Hitzlsperger, Hendrie and Angel are all doubts for the game which could be a big blow if they can't pass fitness tests before the weekend.

Let's hope we can pick up against Leicester where we left off against Bolton. We've already beat the Foxes twice this season so we shouldn't have too many problems on Saturday.

ANGEL BLOW

Just read this:

David O’Leary has been hit with a major injury blow with the news that leading scorer Juan Pablo Angel is ruled out of the next three Premiership outings.

A leg injury kept Angel out of tonight’s Carling Cup defeat against Bolton and he has been told to rest for at least two weeks.

That means the 16-goal striker will be missing for clashes against Leicester, Leeds and Fulham.

O’Leary said: “I think he’ll be out for a few weeks at least. The specialist has said he wants to see him again in two weeks time and he’s not to do anything until then. That’s what we were told yesterday and that’s a real blow for us.”

Leicester City 1-0 Aston Villa.

Think we are gonna be up for it.. but I expect us to struggle in the final third as we so often do on away days. Beleive some costly missed chances are going to give the points to Leicester. Peter Crouch was very impressive last night so I hope he keeps his place in the starting line up.

I agree that this should be a win for us and a chance to put our EPL form back on track! Besides my dad's a Leicester fan and if we don't win this then he will go on and on and on about it for months!

NEW-BOY SOLANO TO START

Aston Villa's new signing Nolberto Solano will go straight into the side for the Premiership derby with Leicester at the Walkers Stadium.

The Peru international, signed for £1.5million from Newcastle, will replace Lee Hendrie who is sidelined with a groin injury.

Manager David O'Leary will give late fitness tests to Mark Delaney (knee) and Thomas Hitzlsperger (leg) but he is desperate for them to play as his squad is already down to the bare bones.

Gavin McCann will play his last game before starting a five-match suspension which will keep him out until March 20.

Peter Crouch is expected to retain his place in attack with leading scorer Juan Pablo Angel still sidelined with a leg problem.

Fantastic result

0-0 at half time- would never have guessed it would be 5-0 by the end of the game. Solano must be impressed and happy- winning 5-0 on your debut can never be bad..

We move into 11th position with Leeds (home) and Fulham (away) our next fixtures. Realisticly, we should be looking to take maximum points from them- if we can do this we should really push for a European spot in the remainder of the season..

Solano wears number 11 for us now.. replacing Stan Staunton. He shows signs of becoming the missing character that this team has needed since hadji has been kicked out of the first team. Was close with a free kick and his passing technique is astonishing.

Yeah, a truly great signing - I'm sure he will settle and prove to be a key player for us over the next few seasons. The number 11 shirt will reach new heights with Solano wearing it in my opinion :)..

O'Leary certainly is putting this team together nicely. Forwards are beginning to find their form, we won 5-0 today and that's without Angel..

I can't wait to see how Angel and Solano play together when Pablo returns from injury... :)

FIVE-STAR VILLA ROUT FOXES

Ian Walker was involved in an ugly bust-up with a Leicester City fan as his side were destroyed 5-0 after a second-half goal blitz from David O'Leary's Aston Villa.

Tempers boiled over after the third of five goals in just 18 minutes when a Foxes spectator came onto the pitch to remonstrate with the England goalkeeper.

Walker was clearly incensed by what had been said and responded by repeatedly shoving the spectator before he fell to the ground and was bundled away by slow reacting stewards.

It came as no surprise when after 50 minutes Darius Vassell netted his first away Premiership goal of the campaign to put Villa in front.

Seven minutes later there was joy for Peter Crouch as he headed in an inswinging corner from Thomas Hitzlsperger at the far post. And with Leicester now in tatters, Vassell drilled a low shot from the edge of the area into the corner of the net after Gareth Barry had turned a Nolberto Solano cross into his path.

Dion Dublin scrambled in an Hitzlsperger free-kick for number four and Villa's nap hand was completed when Peter Crouch fired a shot across Walker after controlling a pass from Mark Delaney.

No we are playing with 2 forwards at the moment- Peter Crouch and Darius Vassell. It would be Angel and Vassell but Crouch is doing a very good stand-in job for Angel whilst he is out through injury.

Hadji is not in the starting line-up and hasn't been since O'Leary's arrival. This has surprised me because Hadji is a player that I would have thought DOL would take to immediately- he has great attacking flare, bundles of skill and is a decent all-around player with lots of positives in his game. But I am not too bothered by this now, as we have Solano to take up the role on the right side of midfield :)..

SOLANO HAILS FANS

Nolberto Solano sparked an emphatic win on his Villa bow and dedictaed the 5-0 drubbing of 'bogey team' Leicester to the Claret and Blue Army.

The midweek capture from Newcastle was given a rapturous reception from the 2,700-strong travelling army before a ball had been kicked.

And, after seeing just why David O'Leary swooped for his services, the fans ended the game singing Solano's name.

Solano said: "The fans were amazing. I had good times with the Newcastle fans and the Villa fans made me feel very welcome. That was a great feeling and I'm pleased they went away happy.

"It was a fantastic day to make my debut, but it was not as easy as the score says. "The lads worked very hard out there and we got the goals we deserved.

"Leicester do not make it easy for you, but we worked hard in the first-half and then got the goals in the second-half. So it was a very happy debut."

aaaanyway.. from what i heard, when i went to the Fulham game people were saying that if Hadji plays another game we shall have to pay Coventry another half a million or something along those lines.

I think that is a stupid reason for not playing someone - but it doesn't surprise me with Ellis at the helm! I was told by a friend that Youssef Hadji (currently playing really well for Morocco in the African Nations Cup) is his brother and this wouldn't surprise me as they look like twins! We should play Mustafa and then try and tempt Youssef to Villa, he is a great player as well and only 23!

The result was fantastic and made even sweeter by the fact that my dad is a Leicester fan! From what I saw on the Premiership Solano looked like he played well! His passing was spot on! I agree with the Skysports presenter who said Villa don't win away often but when they do, they win big!!
