The first round consists of just four: American Samoa, Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga. They will all play each other to determine a group winner, who will then advance to the 2016 OFC Nations Cup.

Also, it was determined today via draw that the OFC play-off representative will face the CONMEBOL play-off representative (making this upcoming qualification cycle for the OFC pretty much useless :D).

After two rounds Cook Islands are on top with 6 points and without a goal conceded. American Samoa and Samoa each have three points while Tonga lost both of their matches

On the final matchday tomorrow Cook Islands only need a point against Am. Samoa to win the group. Both the Samoa's must win to have a chance and preferably big wins in terms of GD

The OFC Nations Cup will be taking place in Papua New Guinea this time around. Two groups of four teams. The top three teams in both groups advance to the next round of OFC World Cup qualifying while the top two move on to the next WC qualifying round + knockouts stages of this cup.

GROUP A

Tahiti
New Caledonia
Samoa
Papua New Guinea

GROUP B

New Zealand
Solomon Islands
Fiji
Vanuatu

Group B is completed and as expected New Zealand won all three matches, all the other three teams earned 3 points but the two best goal differences was Solomon Islands and Fiji who advance to the next stage. Vanuatu has been eliminated partly because they suffered the heaviest defeat against NZL

Group A concludes tomorrow, Papua New Guinea only need a point to progress to the next round against the weakest team in the group Samoa (they likely will need a win to continue in their path to try to qualify for the Confed Cup). Tahiti and New Caledonia already progressed into the next round of WCQ but both teams must win in order to make the OFC Nations Cup semis

Papua New Guinea, New Caledonia and Tahiti progress to the next stage of WC qualifying however reigning the reigning OFC Nations Cup champions Tahiti finished third in their group and won't defend their title

The four candidates for OFC's spot at next years Confed Cup are New Zealand, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands

The final round of WCQ for OFC won't start until March 2017, the six remaining teams will be put in two groups of three, with the winner of each group playing a two-leg playoff to determine the confederations half spot

Back to back wins for Solomon Islands over Papua New Guinea mean they win Group B over Tahiti

They will face New Zealand in the OFC final, the winner of that two leg tie will be in the intercontinental playoff in November vs. CONMEBOL #5
