Norway NT is going to play Jordan in Amman in 29th - Jan - 2005 in its last matches in its ME tour.

El-Gohary the successful Egyptian coach has selected a very young side for this match. Most of his new players are under 20 years, also he selected 2 expert players, Faisal Ibraheem 28 years and Bashar Bani Yasin 26 years who plays for Muharag in Bahrain. El-Gohary has called Thaer El-Bawab the Jordanian player who plays in Real Madrid B and their top scorer 18 years. The Jordanian list for the match will be without Faisaly players (Jordan champ for 5 years in a row) because they are engaged with their matches in the Arab super cup which means the Jordanian NT will be without 6 of his key players.

The Jordanian List for the match:

GKs
Firas Taleb (El-Baq'a Club)27 years
Moataz Majoob(El-Ahly Club)22 years
Ahmed Abdel-Satar (Shabab El-Ordon)20 years

Bashar Bani Yasin (Muharag - Bahrain) 26 years
Mohammed Mahmoud (Baq'a Club) 25 years
Ibraheem El-Saqar (El-Ramtha Club) 22 years
Shadi El-Khatib (El-Hussain Irbid Club) 20 years

Midfielders

Norway's squad

Goalkeepers:
Knut Borch, Tromsø
Espen Johnsen, Rosenborg

Defenders:
Christer Basma, Rosenborg
Trond Andersen, Aalborg
Ragnvald Soma, Brann
Brede Hangeland, Viking
Frode Kippe, Lillestrøm
Jon Inge Høiland, Malmö FF
Erlend Hanstveit, Brann
Jarl André Storbæk, Ham-Kam

Midfielders:
Thomas Holm, Vålerenga
Raymond Kvisvik, Brann
Roger Risholt, Fredrikstad
Petter Rudi, Molde
Ardian Gashi, Vålerenga

Forwards/strikers:
Lars Iver Strand, Tromsø
Bengt Sæternes, Brann
Alexander Ødegaard, Rosenborg
Ole Martin Årst, Tromsø
Øyvind Storflor, Rosenborg

There's only league players and many of the best league players have also cancelled their NT training camp so this is maybe even a mixture of a B- and C- team. But I think it's a good team anyway and it'll be v interesting watching some debutants (esp. Risholt, Storflor and Kvisvik).

Kvisvik got 2 caps for Norway
:D I still don't understand why they don't use him more on the NT, some players that have played have sucked, Kvisvik could have done a much better job ...

Because Semb is daft and Hareide wanted to try younger players I guess.
Hareide seems to have taken to his senses and is nominating Kvisvik as a wildcard for the match against Moldova.

A terribly boring match, partly due to enormous amounts of rain, and the water on the pitch. Hopefully the next two matches will be more interesting. :)

Hopefully no rain will be on friday against Jordan. I think its gonna be a close game since Jordan are a very young side. I might go watch it if the weather was ok to do so.
