Alexx,
Cruzeiro and Palmeiras have developed a big rivalrly in the last couple of years, they always meet each other...and most of the times Cruzeiro beats Palmeiras.
In 96, Palmieras had a "marvelous team" (even I got to admit that), and Dida (while playing for Cruzeiro) totally closed up the goal..he was bombarded in the Copa do Brasil final of 96, and with 10 minutes to go, Roberto Gaucho (the one from Miami Fusion) scored the wining goal, and took Palmieras the title which even the most fanatic Cruzeiro fan would find it difficult to beleive:) I cried when he scored the goal....I was so happy to see those ****s crying of sadness.....funny enough it was in the same day Italy were knocked out of the Euro 96 by Germany.
the palmeiras team was the following:

Velloso

Cafu Claudio Cleber Junior

Amaral F. Conceicao

Djalminha Rivaldo

Luizao Muller

Muller refused to play the final as his contract had expired and he hated Palmeiras..that was one of the reasonss...and the other basically when a team is super favourite to win..things like that happen!:)

...some background info always kicks up the emotion. Now I know even better why I will stand firm in the Cruzeiro camp.

Plus I now have a clue why the thing with the Luizao shirt did not work out. Better this way, I didn't know he played for p. ....
