MILANO- The Italian Football League has set the date for the start of the next Championship season. The Serie A matches will start on October, 1st :). After playing their first away match, Inter will have some days off because of National team duties.
Their first home match will only be played on October, 15th. Their last match before the Christmas holidays will be on December 23rd and they'll have their first match of the New Year on January 7th.
In any case, Lippi's men will be involved in a very important match on September, 8th when they'll face Lazio and try to win the Super League Cup.
The Italian Cup will start on August 13th, but Inter's first match will only be on September 17th along with the other 7 top clubs.

this is the worst idea i have heard of ina long time. if you though Italian teams had it bad last season in Europe how do you think they will fare without any Serie A for the first 4 or 5 champions league games without Serie A to stay match fit. oh well....just another [email protected] idea from the land of corruption called Calcio Italiano

Ok, I see where your going with this, but it´s the money that controls the sport, and it´s the people who sees it that brings the money, and we want to see football every week, every month, every year....
