After the final round on the 10th of March this was the final league table:

The fight for the NZFC trophy then came down to a playoff. Where Auckland first beat Manawatu 3-1 in the semi final, and later went on to beat bitter crosstown rivals Waitakere United 3-2 in the final on the 16th of April.

Interesting that Commins Menapi plays in the NZ league. How long has he been there and is he scoring regularly?

Yeah he's been good for United. Before moving to Waitakere he was playing in Palmy and did well down there. That was a couple years ago and before that I remember him in the NSL for one of the Sydney clubs I think. A friend of mine said he used to play for Nelson years ago but I'm not sure of that personally.

He's a good player at this level of the game. No doubt one of the best from the Solomons. I still remember him scoring both goals for them against Aus a few years back in that 2-2 draw which screwed up any chance for NZ to get to the WC
