I heard from a VERY trustworthy source that an Egyptian striker will be joining Benfica next season for $3,000,000,- $4,000,000 ...
He plays for the top club in Egypt...
He is 22 years old now, and considered one of the top Egyptian strikers..

Anyone got any info about this ??? I will try to find out about it and tell you guys ..

Sabry Fan, no he is not... I agree that Ahmad Bilal with the Olympic team has done much... But the player is Mohammad Farook, Ahly Striker...

And besides I heard too another Ahly player is leaving for Valencia by the end of the season... I know I got this from a person who knows too much about the club and I hope it is true (However we - Ahly - will loose best winger in Egypt

) ...

Anyone got any Information about Kaiserslautern's Hany Ramzy ?? Too bad there is no Kaiser forum here

I don't think that Ahmad Farouk would fit in the Benfica style, but Ahmad Bilal would be a great asset to benfica. He can be a new Ronaldo, only maybe a little bit more skilful. Hey Razor, I read your message about starting this site during lunch hours, and now you're getting foreigners to post on your site! Obvioulsy I am one of those foreigners, I am egyptian, and one year ago I started a site, just for fun, with another friend. We had no clue that it would become the most popular site about Egypt on the net! That site is egyptiansoccer.com!

Yes, this is a very nice place to get the goals by Ahmad Bilal and Mohamed Farouk.

Egyptiansoccer.com is negotiating a deal with the Egyptian TV in order to legally put all the goals + some full games, very soon.

Personally, I think both players are very talented, but Bilal is physically much stronger. He is more consistent too. I think both can be stars in any European top team, but Bilal has a slightly better chance.

Use this instead.. www.ahly.com then click the logo, after you enter the site to the right you will find a bar, go to the video clips section and watch goals by Ahmad Bilal - My advise will be watch The first goal Between EGYPT - IVORY COAST Olympic teams which ended 2-1 for egypt...

I don't think so. At least not any more. Ahly.com has been online for almost 3 years. Egyptiansoccer.com for less than 1 year, and already alahram has appointed uss the most impressive egyptian sote of the year. In terms of number of hits, I think we get a lot more too. And even if not, which is arguable, it is only a matter of time

Still dont agree... Okay when Ahly.com conducts a survey how come they always end up with much more votes than egyptiansoccer.com ?? Besides egyptiansoccer.com updates like once in ten years and the site is not really helpful except for its forum, as for Al Ahram thing then knowing a couple of reporters can do the job, also Same thing was done for ahly couple of years ago but you do not recall...

Last but not least this is a Benfica forum not Egyptian soccer forum

I am not going to get into an argument with you, but egytpiansoccer.com is the best. It is a US based company with unbelievable potential (read the article in the LA times about them from last week).

Besides, the site gets updated every day, several times, I am not sure what you mean by 'every ten years'.

They also have correspondants from Germany, Greece, Holland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Belgium, all providing news on top of the hour, basically they cover this area of Egyptian Soccer better than even CNN.

Ahly.com is OK, but it does not look professional to me. I don't like their message board either. As for surveys, I prefer the surveys on ES online, because they are true. You can always click a buton 1000 times to show your site is doing good, and I think that's what ahly.com do.

Anyway, competitionis good, and both sites are trying to give a very good image of Egypt.

By the way, all goals by Farouk in the last two games he played for Egypt in the last 5 days are posted on Egyptian Soccer (http://www.egyptiansoccer.com), for those who want to know how the new striker for Benfica is! I am not particularly impressed by any of these three goals, ut they just show he is a sniper, he really knows how to score, regardless of how the form of scoring looks like!

Why isnt ahly.com professional ? Because the graphics sucks ? Who cares, its about the content and their content is the best, they even have non soccer news, besides what news do YOU provide.. Here is an example of what you have "Egypts coach is Gohary", "Egypt beat .. 2-0" what kind of news is that ??? Did you see ahly.com interview with ahly coach ?? Can you people do something like that ???? They got all the news up to date.. All the news you got is provided by us the message board users...

So what if its a US based ? ahly.com is a US based but what difference does it make ? Is it better because it is US based ? I wouldnt be "that" proud..

As for the correspondants I see only a 15 year old kid from Holland reporting the news on one team only..

I wouldnt have said this stuff but I am defending ahly.com who have no one to protect them against false accusations..

What do you mean click a 1000 times ? I know the webmaster personally and he is not like that.. They dont even know you guys exist, neither does half of Egypt, I had to tell my friends about your site, while they already knew ahly.com ...

Please your site is VERY good, but it gets annoying to put down the best site in Egypt for the sake of advertising for your site, and yes ahly.com has been voted the best site in Egypt...

I have no idea why u r pissed off?? I am not the webmaster of Egyptiansoccer.com!! I am just telling you facts, u like em, fine, u don't, that's your opinion. But the fact remains, egyptiansoccer IS the best site, and all Egyptian friends I kow have no idea that ahly.com exists! Weird, isn't it?? Your friends don't know of egyptiansoccer.com, and mine don't know of ahly.com!

So what does LA times say?? What does Ahram say?? What does ebusiness watch say??? That egyptiansoccer.com is the best Egyptian site out there!!

As for 15 year old or 95 year old, that's not exactly my concern. They do have correspondants from many European countries, plus a team of editors in Egypt and the US. I know they are preparing for a huge surprise too ;-) Personally, I never check ahly.com because the entire site is a mess. Maybe if they do something about it, but standing as it si, it has no chance in competition. It is very annoying to browse through. And it is very centered and biased to one club. I am Ahlawy myself, but I feel it is very biased.

Anyway, enough said. Peace out.

..and to you Razor, the transfer of Farouk is NOT a rumor. I just confirmed this from a top official in the Egyptian Soccer Federation. Benfica did make an offer, and the player will fly to Portugal in the first week of May for preliminary tests. The amount posted in the begining of the topic ($3,000,000) is not confirmed though, and that is probably just a rumor. Will keep you posted
