Ante Vukusic is 18 years old talented Croatian forward who currently playing for Hajduk Split. Vukusic predicted to be new star of Croatian league this season
Vukusic born at 4th June, 1991 at Sinj. Last season,he's star player of Hajduk youth team in youth competition. He's the highlight of Hajduk campaign during last season. Hajduk finished 2nd at youth league and Vukusic scored 20 goals and made 8 assists. He also awarded as 2nd best youth player behind Mario Sacer with 77 points
With Nikola Kalinic, Hajduk regular striker last season almost sure to leave the club( likely to Blackburn), Vukusic already tipped to play regular this season. In 1st match of Croatian league last week against NK Osijek, Vukusic played as starter during 73 minute
Because last season he already played in 4 league games, collecting 201 minute i decided to sent ticket about him and finally he's added to DB this week with 75 rating
Vukusic is very strong in one on one situation and he has similarity with Eduardo (Arsenal). He can smell a goal and very opportunist when get chance. His weakness is he's not too good in heading...

Why not? The guy's got superstar written all over him
well obviously you haven't been here long enough to know my philosophy...:pp

When it comes to HNL players, I can't take you seriously until you score or play in games that matter. In Croatia, very few games matter, outside of the Champions League, Europa League and derby games, its really irrelevant.

Who cares how many goals you score against Sesvete, Zapresic, Cibalia, Zadar etc...? To me that doesn't impress me

You have to score in the games that matter, perfect example is the cup semifinals. In a span of two weeks, Hajduk/Dinamo played each other two times, yet who stepped up, better who MANNED up? Not one player made himself noticeable, instead they wait to look like "greats" against the bottom of the HNL.

Also, Hajduk haven't done a good job developing talents in recent years, especially strikers. Rukavina will probably come back to Hajduk (like I predicted :howler: ), Kalinic to me is average, but still young so he can improve

actually to be fair, not really. The Australians outside of Simunic were pretty irrelevant, and he is the only Aussie on the team. Petric was born in the region, not Switzerland, he just lived there

Only Eduardo, Simunic, Rakitic fit your criteria...not exactly half ;) That would be about 10% of a 23 man squad

not that I care though, you are only here to troll, while I shoot down that Vukusic won't be much :D

its a misconception, I've been saying for a while now I don't think Croatia can really depend on their diaspora anymore. The war is nearly 20 years ago, the mass exodus of people from Croatia isn't happening anymore. Sure, they will still be around, but not in big numbers like the past.

Most of the Australians aren't even good enough to play in the Croatian league, yet alone the NT anymore, in fact the best Cro-Aussies played for them. Also, Australia is basically a lock to be in the World Cup every 4 years, so less kids will be tempted to play for another nation

Now hopefully the trolls are gone...about Vukusic, like I said, I hope for the best, but I'm not expecting much. I was high on Matija Smrekar a year or two ago, and now he is probably a player who will peak in the Belgian, Austrian league (I know he suffered a serious injury though)

don't really feel like arguing, without opening a can of worms, Corluka and Petric were both born in the region, don't want to get all political. If we are going to use that criteria, Serbia and BiH have a similar track record. How many of the French team were born in Africa yet they are still considered French?

Kovac's are both gone

17 replies and none about the topic at hand, Ante Vukusic. Typical XT..

He came in yesterday as a late substitute and made an immediate impact, he has a lot of potential and is currently Hajduk's best striker imo. I think he can have a big year next year for Hajduk.
