maybe this isnt noticed much, but it seems footballers tend to be very built in the neck area. is this delibrate or a coincidence? i heard a stronger neck helsp prevent injury. does a footbaer's weight programme focus on the neck as a major muscle group to work? would appreciate info from those in the know. thanks

Depending on your level you just lie on a table with your head off the edge and hold it there for a length of time.

At a more advanced stage where you can do this for hours you have a strap around the forehead and hold weights for a length of time.
