It'll be the second chance for NECs biggest ever signing, Polish international striker Niedzielan to prove whether all the glitz surrounding his transfer was justified. He didn't really have the chance against Ajax, with his team playing very defensively but now at home in Nijmegen, NEC will fancy their chances against a hampered Feyenoord.

NECs form against Feyenoord hasn't been good however. They've failed to win the last 11 games against us BUT unlike last year there is no Van Hooijdonk to knock in a free kick at the death. Who could our pinch-hitter be? Lazovic indeed as he proved on Sunday but it looks likely again that Bert will keep him on the subs bench!!!

Our injury table isn't too full for our standards. Only Lurling, Ono, Leonardo, Snoyl and Zoetebier will miss the game. Gyan is a twijfelgeval.

The most likely line-up (posted on the official website), unchanged from Sunday will be:

-----------Lodewijks---------------

Song-Wonderboy-Paauwe-v Haaren

Smoli-Schreuder-Pardo-v Persie

-----Buffel--Kuijt--------

I'm expecting a draw from the game btw. Game kicks of at 20:00 and will be shown at 22:00 on canal +. Radio Rijnmond and studio sport for me.

Good unexpected win! NEC probably had the first half but we had the second half and could have won by 3 or 4 goals in the end if Kuijt and van Persie had finished their chances. Pardo and Song (at last hehe) were very good but Buffel was probably our man of the match. Running a lot, tracking back and then scoring the winning goal with a nice shot.

That v Persie move to set up Kuijts goal was Zidane like! still he needs to learn a lot as we saw with the opportunities he had to finish off the game later in the game or in setting other people up for more chances.

DJ, Smolarek had a decent game. Also had a good game in the weekend against Utrecht and he's found a spot in the team, the right wing where he hardly has any competition for! expect to see a lot more of him in the coming weeks!:)

Niedzielan scored a nice one and he actually had a chance to equalize but he scuffered his shot which ended up going straight to the keeper.

Next game, Twente at home and that is a bigger test. They are the team in form and are specialists in counter attacking. We'll have to be on our guard but with this win in the bag, new bred confidence has been installed in the team

That's good to hear! Poland's right wing isn't the best either, so maybe we have found the answer? Our fans have always been debating where to play Smolarek, but I guess it's been settled.
I've always liked the guy, he's a lightweight but always gives 200% and that's something I admire in him.

He played a decent game, was better last weekend where he was so eagerly looking for that comeback goal. Good to have him back though!
