starts tomorrow night with two matches:

New Orleans v Raptors

Lakers v Clippers

nobody cares about the first one of course as Zion is out (seems to be almost standard for high draft picks in recent years that they are too broken to start the season)

LA derby should be cool though with AD and Kawhi both set to make a debut

There is no way Golden state has better chance then the Lakers. And I like GSW but cant stand the Lakers.

Golden State lose KD, Iggy, Livingston, Cousins, Cook and Klay too til April (maybe whole season), and replace them with Russell + dozen of bums or random kids who cant either stand up defensively or score on their own. 13 new players, and besides stud guard in Russell, 2nd guy they get excited by is Marquiss ****ing Chriss...

That's major major weakening. They lack size (pre season games was comical when Green was biggiest starter at 6'6 lol), defensive role players or specialised scorer off the bench.

Lakers are at risk with injuries but they have major size (Danny Green was their smallest player at 6'7 when Bron was PG lol), role players and depth, and 2 superstars.

Can't read too much in to pre-season, but some of the Lakers numbers were impressive. The AD-LBJ combo is so difficult for any team to defend against considering the two of them can hurt anyone in different ways.

well they can probably pick up some good vets during the season ...but if they lose Klay for the whole season then they're done... I didn't know he is expected to be out for so long.

Pick up vets with what money? They are hard capped after signing Russell. Had to drop McKinnie just now due to salary issues.

I hope they do good, but I watched their pre season games and it wasnt pretty with the talent available.

There is even a chance Klay might sit out when he is back healthy to not risk it. Steve Kerr talking of seeing this season as a wash and development one for young talents.

All this Laker talk, the don't even have the best player in LA. The Clippers have the best player, the better depth and the better coach. Lakers gonna be swept or win like one game in the conference finals. They are the Raptors to LeBrons Cleveland in years past.

I guess Kawhi is better than Michael Jordan, since LeBron is better than MJ?

:err:
LeBron career > Kawhi. At this current point in their careers Kawhi > LeBron.

why shouldn't they? they have done it without KD before

they probably have a better chance than the Fakers with Glass Man Davis and aging LeBald
Hey @Andy Christ remember when you made this post?

Please go watch Warriors vs one of the top 3 worst teams in NBA in current OKC.

Warriors got TORCHED, their roster is essentially Euro league or G league level. They got embarrassed in ways I haven't seen NBA team in ages. OKC had scored 70 by 2nd quarter....

First of all OKC isn't bad at all, they have proper NBA players on their team. CP, SGA, Gallinari, Schroder, Adams, Noel and Roberson. All of them could be playing minutes for playoff bound teams.

But GSW look really bad, they have no defenders except Draymond. Gonna be a long long season. I see D'Angelo being traded sooner than later, not because of any fault of his own, but just to plug the gaping hole that is their defense.

Yeah was going to say something in that line. OKC have quietly created/kept a decent team somehow despite losing two of the league’s best players. Again.

But also holy ****, so is GSW so bad? I was not expecting that at all. They looked like a complete mess.
