I checked out the site after some new guy posted that Fener wanted Fatih Tekke (which I didn't see on the site btw)..

Hmmmm, not the greatest of sources but still no harm in putting together our own wish list I guess

1. Midfielder to play alongside Aurelio
2. Left Winger
3. Left Back

These positions would be my priority, so with this in mind

1. Emre - who has already been confirmed
2. Left Winger will be tough to find in Turkiye so we may need to look abroad. Going by the current Brazilian spine, Daum may look at his favoured location once again to fill this void. Expect to read speculation on Dede and possibly Denilson too!?
3. Left Back again may need looking for abroad although something tells me that Wederson would be on Daum's list

1. Emre
2. Ashley Cole
3. Damien Duff

I really don't see the point in signing both a left back, and someone to sit next to Aurelio..

Ümit's best in the middle, but if we get an Emre or someone to play there, then I really wouldn't mind keeping him at left back, just so he can have a spot in the line-up..

Umit played so well next to Aurelio last year, and theres been a lot of complaints about his crosses from the LB.
I wish we knew for sure what we had in Mahmut Hanefi. He's made some good plays last year, and in his only appearance this year, scored a goal (I know it was against a 2nd div team)
I honestly don't think Fener "needs" anything, except reliable depth.

The "funny" part is that Ümit is topping the statistics with most succesful crosses....

Mahmut Hanefi needs to be drafted in somehow as does Murat Hacioglu as I believe both can override the two transfer issues I have highlighted (LW & LB)... With regards to the midfielder, Tolga has a point too although Emre would be a dream..

Ümit was awesome, especially during the run in to the championship..

His performance against BJK at Inonu was probably one of the best individual performances I've seen from anyone in our team..

That's what I mean.

If it was a choice between the two for a midfield spot, Emre wins hands down.. But Ümit needs to play somewhere, and it's up to Daum to decide how to get the maximum out of Ümit and the new player..

If it's Ümit + Emre, then there's not many feasible Ümit + left back combinations that would even come close..

There is also Kemal and Selcuk that seem to be able to play on all sides of the field.

Maybe they will only be the "reliable depth" for now...

For now, and if any of the transfer speculation is at least pointing in the right direction, I don't think they'll promote to anything higher. But I wouldn't mind eating those words some day..
