Just gonna get this one up nice and early as it's a fast return to the bread and butter that is the Premier League again after yet another trophy winning success in a weekend where our closest rival in the form of Liverpool faltered 2-0 away to Boro. We are now 7 pts clear with a game in hand and I hope another trophy gives us further momentum in this run of glory.
The gap could be cut before we play as Liverpool are at home to Sunderland on the Wednesday, had they won at Boro and at home to City the other week they would have had a chance to go top but they've clearly blown that now. Newcastle away is our last big of league action for over a week seeing as next weekend will be FA Cup weekend.
Over half the team was rested for the Carling cup final , pretty sure we'll see Berbatov, Vidic, Neville, Park, Fletcher, VDS and Carrick all returning to the starting line up more or less in top condition. Rooney had a virus today but seemed at the end of it seeing as he was allowed to travel with the squad.
Newcastle have had an awful season after such a promising start with their draw at Old Trafford, still don't think they'll go down but it will be quite close. They're actually the only side to have taken something from us at home this season so that's something we need to make up for.
Think we'll take this one 1-3, Berbatov, Rooney and Ronaldo scoring. :hopeful:
