Moroni: Inter loans favouring Lecce rivals

ROME, Jan 26, (Reuters) - Lecce president Mario Moroni has accused fellow Serie A club Inter Milan of favouritism after they loaned two players to Fiorentina this month.
Adriano and Dominic Morfeo signed for Fiorentina for negligible amounts and have made an immediate impact, with Adriano scoring twice since his arrival.

Fiorentina have not been able to sign anyone this season because of their financial problems and Inter president Massimo Moratti loaned the players as a favour to owner Vittorio Cecchi Gori.

But Moroni told Italian media: 'We have no favours to give and this is immensely unfair, even if it is within the rules.

'Adriano and Robbiati could be crucial in the relegation battle while we can only rely on ourselves.

'I hope there will be some intervention from the League.

Moratti and Cecchi Gori did business before the start of the season when Italy's number one goalkeeper Francesco Toldo was allowed to switch to the San Siro for $26.2 million.

Lecce are just one place above the relegation zone - three points and two positions ahead of Fiorentina who have 15 points.

Fiorentina midfielder Sandro Cois is out of Sunday's match against Atalanta after being involved in a car crash.

Cois suffered whiplash on the way to training, the accident coming only three days after Brescia defender Vittorio Mero was killed in a car crash.
