The kid has has cat-like reflexes and is an extraordinary athlete with above average hands, but scares the crap otta me whenever he exits on a cross. He's reckless, sloppy and thus far makes questionable decisions. His timing seems to be way off - needs to work on his jumps and the ability to pluck the ball out of the air at its highest point. But at least he isn't hesitating ala Enke, which can be far worse.

What is your opinion on what we've seen thus far?

To be honest we i have not seen him fully tested but he has looked very confident and in control of his defense something i felt Enke hasn't had a lot this season. I have noticed that his ability to catch crosses need work but time is on his side and i believe he can be a great goalkeeper.

He still fails in crossings, which is natural once it's gained with experience. It's a mistake not getting Yannick because there's always the chance of Moreira can't handle the pressure or start with bad performances. Benfica must have 2 great solutions to goalkeeping and Bossio isn't surely one of them.

There are not many 20 year olds who do not struggle at something. This should come with experience and he will be all the better for getting this experience early.

I never said that we didn't. Yannick would not be a bad capture but i think we can do better.

Yannick would be a termendous pick up, but I don't think he'll sign knowing he'll play the bench.

It's very unlikely to Yannick to sit on the bench at Benfica, but I've seen him nearer to sign for SLB than now since Benfica had an appointment with Alverca board to decide this matter and all Benfica members missed that appointment. This happened by the time Moreira got the second appearance as starter.

Benfica have another two goelies in Paolo Lopes and Nuno Marques. What are they like?

If Yannick wont sit on the bench then lets not sign him i'd rather Moreira was fist choice next season.

Paulo Lopes is very insecure, he hasn't got value to play there. Nuno Marques is still "junior" and he's Lopes' replacement in B team, I don't know him quite well but I don't believe he has Moreira potential (by the same age when he arrived from Salgueiros). If you want a quality squad you need a new goalkeeper there besides Moreira.

I know we know need cover but i was just saying that if Yannick wont sit on the bench as cover for Moreira then we should look else where. I think its important that Moreira remains number one.
