Can it be done? :excited: :lala: :veiled:

Ladies and gentlemen, we currently face the opportunity of a lifetime. To throw away a scudetto that was sealed months ago. I would like to take this opportunity to rally the specialists to chime in with your expert opinions.

Current lead: 7 5 3 points

Cagliari - Juventus 1-0 1-1
Milan - Inter 3-0 1-0

Juventus - Lazio 0-0 1-1 :shades:
Messina - Milan 0-4 1-3

Siena - Juventus 0-1 0-3
Milan - Livorno 6-1 2-0

Juventus - Palermo 0-0 2-1 :lala:
Parma - Milan 2-4 2-3

Reggina - Juventus 0-0 0-2
Milan - Roma 3-1 2-1

Lead at the finish line: 3 points :star:

EDIT: that bugger Capello pulled it off afterall :lala:

Looking at the remaining games juve would have to do alot to throw away this.

First half tonight was terrible, second half was very good from Juve I think. If they showed that 2nd half v Arsenal on wednesday then at least you would have went out with some sort of pride, but of course you didnt.

to seal up scudetto #29 we need 9 points from the remaining 5 games, giving us a grand total of 89 points...milan currently has 73 points and if they collect the maximum 15 points from the remaining 5 games they will finish at 88...taking in the fact that they aren't concerned with the scudetto at all, and that they still have 2 very tough games ahead of them (inter and roma) juve would really need to mess thing sup big time...does anybody seriously think milan will collect maximum points while almost certainly resting players against inter next week before their HUGE CL fixture against Barca???

Actually, the thing about Milan is that they tend to come through in these tough moments, so they may very well beat both Inter and Barcelona, even fielding a weakened team in the derby. It's teams like Lecce they cannot beat, but against the big clubs they always deliver when it matters.

Having said that it would be sufficient for Milan to end on par with Juve in order to win the title, altough in Football anything can happen, this would be one of the biggest comebacks in the history of the game, considering that unlike you lot, unfortunately we also have a Champions League semifinal ahead :stress:

Don't worry Juve fans. We will end it this Friday with a American Football score over MIlan. 7-0

Well, losing one and drawing two, provided Milan win all their games, will trigger a championship play-off.

I'd love to see that. ;)

From this season playoffs have been abolished. Should two teams at any level, for instace a UEFA Cup spot, end on par, games among the 2 teams would decide.

For the record, in Serie A, title wise, only 1 playoff has been played, it happened in the 60's, with Bologna beating Inter

Unfortunately I don't think it is possible as Milan have more pressing and urgent matters to take care of, bigger fish to fry in the competition for big boys that they are still involved in. :frownani: :irritate:

Moreover, they face a far more difficult run-in with remaining games against Inter :pp and a rejuvenated Roma.

Had the points difference been +4 or even +5 I would have thought it possible for Milan to wrestle away the Scudetto from us. However, as things stand (and given Milan's far more important commitments, and their desire to right last season's wrongs) we will win the title and the board will proclaim the season a great success, yet again choosing to neglect our failure in the competition that matters most, dismissing our failure as a stroke of bad luck or that we can't always expect to win (doesn't matter that we hardly even try!) :rollani: :groan: :sob: :wallbang: :fero:

... :) ?

Oh I'm sorry, I thought your question was just rhetorical.

Nah, we'll do the job not concerning what Milan do themselves. Claiming otherwise would be downright over the top. Does this mean Capello will save his job though?

My bad, now it's me who's up to rhetorical questions.

Back in them days I did not quite understand Lorenzo Sanz' decision to sack Jupp Heynckes despite landing the C1. I do now.

Cagliari are difficilut and need the win also so Juve could only be 4 or 5 pts up by tomorrow night.
