Not much in comparison to what our dear Interisti had to endure for 20 yearsThe last time I saw a player's first minute with Milan, he flopped for 2 years, after being dubbed as the next big thing :depress:
Hmmm Winston Bogard or Patrick Kluivert? The last time I saw a player's first minute with Milan, he flopped for 2 years, after being dubbed as the next big thing :depress:

You know this only exists in pre-season and the mind of Ancelotti. We shall not play 433, or similiar in any real matches. Sub plans for the season are: Striker for striker, def for def, mid for mid, mid for striker, def for striker.this is exactly the attitude i hate the most. We have two summers here: the virtual, rumours-type, artificial, silly mercato and the real one, the summer camps, the real games with the real players we have. Yet most fans would prefer to focus on the sureal one and couldn't care less about th real. I will never get it. I much prefer watching a real Milan game(s), seeing how the team trains, play together, try different formations, see the future bench warmers in action, see the team grow game by game, tactics shape up, etc.
You know, the one thing that make this summer even more interesting is that (it might be) a new Milan in a making. As such I am thinking "who knows", may be the old formations are subject to change, revision, may be even more. May be another "new role for Pirlo" is in a making in the mind of Carlo. He knows he has received a credit line. he knows that in almost any team out there he could have had the sack after lats season. Only in Milan (and very few others) thanks to the traditions, the love for continuity, the family thinking (and what I like to think as long term wisdom coming from experience), Carlo was able to stay. But he is on credit. he has to do something, show change, show sth new and he knows it i think. You know this only exists in pre-season and the mind of Ancelotti. I dont consider the summer matches "real games". I used to be eager on them, too, in the past, when there was hardly any possibility to watch Milan's official matches beside a couple of CL matches and when I wasnt able to watch them live either. I was very eager to see the new faces (usually in the past a bit more promising than nowadays, even if some of them later turned out to be absolutely awful; fortunately the minority), the primavera kids etc. Kaka's first amichevole was incredible, I was absolutely in awe about the skills of our bimbo d'oro.this is exactly the attitude i hate the most. Yet most fans would rather keep it to goal.com and calciomeracto.it .... The DOT is the most important aspect of one team these days. Shochingly ridiculous.
No no no. Now you are trying to reverse itAnyway, nowadays I prefer to watch the Euro and then wait for the new season to start at the end of August..
I was there too. Although Nesta & Seedorf didn't sign till following summer. We had Pippo, Rui, Pirlo, Laursen in that team.I am indiffierent to the second due to the first. Since we have signed only another Tavano like Borriello, a gobbo average goalie, a (probably) washed up terzino we should have signed maybe 2 ago and Flamini, I am not very eager on the friendlies.
You know, IMO friendlies can be interesting in two cases: First they are thrilling if you have no other chance to watch Milan... I travelledl to one of those friendly tournaments (Ajax one, vs Amsterdam, Valencia and Pool) with friends cause I hadnt had the oppurtunity back then to watch the real matches live.
Second, they are interesting if you sign some big and interesting player you are absolutely eager to finally watch in a Milan jersey. Back then, Nesta and Seedorf for example.
Yes, I couldnt really remember when the Ajax tournament was. I was just giving the names of Clarence and Nesta as an example for exciting big signings. Obviously getting Pippo, Rui and Pirlo back then was thrilling as well. And Terim as a new coach with a different approach to the game.I was there too. Agreed about watching friendlies, although I like to see if some youngsters get a chance. If only to see a new signing, that makes the fans dream, unlike the last few seasons of nightmares.
You wish he did.Tony: Were you alive when Carlo played 3-4-3 and 3-5-2?![]()
Yeah, it was a different philosophy. I remember whenever we conceded a fk, the players would throw the ball between 2 of them to give others a chance to recover. The midfield in 1st match was Donati, Gattuso, Serginho & Rui.Yes, I couldnt really remember when the Ajax tournament was. He did  My question is: Were you alive when he didYou wish he did.
there is nothing to see you dont know? This is exactly where we differ. There will be plenty to see. First all the new players and how they fit in Milan. Then all the experiments Carlo might try during friendlies. Then some of the young guns who will be checked for some minutes playing time.I am indiffierent to the second ... there is nothing to see I dont know already, beside Flamini and Zambrotta) ...
It is not real, but it is officialHowever, bottom line is that this is REAL! Unlike the calcomeracto thread![]()
