Suspending of matches was very bad for Milan and very good for Juve...

1) Some of our players (espesially Sheva) needed in 30 minutes in official match...

2) Disqualification of Stam and Kaka was very good for home Breschia match, but it will be very bad for away Siena match...

3) After hard match at "Artemio Franki" Juve will have more problems at "Anfield"...

Anyone agree with me that nesta and sheva should be rested in this game?

I agree that every single match in series A now might be crucial at the end. But Nesta has minor injuries and Sheva has just played his first full matches.

The euro-derby is on TUESDAY, maybe Costacurta for Nesta and Tommasson-Serginho up front?

p.s.

as Serginho is the good old derby man :star: , why not start him in weekend so as to boost his match fitness? He might be useful in the derby!

IMO Nesta needs playing time. He wasn't fully fit against Inter. Sheva probably does too, after such a long layoff. It's amazing how he manages to score goals in spite of that. Most other strikers need a lot more playing time before getting back into goal-scoring shape.

Agree on the 'socring-shape' thing about Sheva. But my worry is if Sheva plays on weekend and then on next Tuesday, the Ukrainian would have played 3 matches in 6 days :stress: , bare in mind that he has just recovered from injuries. :stress: I'd rather save his energy for the euroderby ;) , as his header goal last Wednesday has already boost his confidence much.

I suggest a JDT-Serginho frontline and Sheva on the bench.

About Nesta, it's true that he lacks sharpness as shown in the derby. However we have to be careful regarding his injuries. IMO, we should not risk even if it's a minor injury. Nesta is so indispensable. :star:

Nesta and Shev can play for Brescia to get into the match mould. Crespo on the other hand could use a rest to revitalise himself as he has been starting and performing really well for us in the absence of Sheva.

Somebody from the back four could also be rested. I would start Kaladze so that he is in form when needed. He was electric until he got injured.

One of Pirlo or Seedorf needs to be rested as they have really been in superb form for us and we need these two to take us to the promised land.

Kaladze is injured again... :wallbang:

Just read in official site. Carlo will play the strongest side(except the suspended) this weekend. Nesta, Sheva, Pirlo, Maldini, Seedorf...would probably start together.

Here's the article from acmilan.com

ANCELOTTI WARY OF BRESCIA
4/8/2005 2:15:00 PM
MILANELLO - Carlo Ancelotti held his usual pre-match press conference ahead of the game with Brescia. He said: 'It is difficult to recharge our batteries for this match, we have not had much time to recover. It will be a delicate encounter. The evaluations for the team to play will be linked to the form of the players who were fielded in the midweek. Suspended duo [Jaap] Stam and Kaka will be substituted, for the rest I won’t make any calculation ahead of Tuesday’s game. [Alessandro] Nesta was better yesterday, today we’ll see how it goes. [Kakhaber] Kaladze, instead, was rested due to a ankle strain, he is one of those who must be checked carefully today. If Nesta is available, he will play. [Pippo] Inzaghi worked apart and will continue to do so until Sunday, I think he’ll be back training with the team on Monday. On the left wing, should Kaladze be out, there are two possible solutions, either [Pippo] Pancaro or Serginho.'
Ancelotti couldn’t avoid speaking about the Euro-derby. He said: 'It is difficult to not think about the next game against Inter; however, we have to concentrate on Brescia and the domestic campaign now. Tomorrow we will have less space and will find it more difficult to create opportunities, it will be a different game from the one on Wednesday. Brescia will be fresher than us and will be motivated to do well. We don’t have to play being conditioned by the next game, in this period we must keep focused only on the game we are playing.'
The discussion then went to the back-line, and Cafu-Nesta-Stam-Maldini were compared to the legendary quartet of Tassotti-Costacurta-Baresi-Maldini. The coach of the Italian champions said: 'Speaking of synchronicity, that was one of the best defences and they moved well together, while the present one includes great individuals. [Andriy] Shevchenko was a bit fearful in the first half, but after the break returned to his usual lively being. The impression is that he needs to play in the moment in order to find the right brilliantness, so he will be in. He needs to play as much as possible. He sustained a bad knock for a striker, there could have been psychological recoils, but fortunately everything just finished there, and he couldn’t recover with tranquility.'
Ancelotti answered some more questions about the derby victory and added: 'On Wednesday the attack could have done better in the first half, they could have produced more chances, while after the break they improved and were more effective. There were moments in which the forwards moved too quickly, before the built-up had been set yet. For the return game, Adriano’s presence won’t change our mental attitude. I don’t know about his fitness, but I know he is a top player. And I also know that if Inter play him, it means that he is fine, otherwise they won’t risk it.'

That is a good line-up IMO. Maldini, Stam, Kaka and Crespo get the rest and Rino gets the rest for the 2nd leg Derby game. ;)

At some point I would prefer Pirlo and Seedorf to get some rest as well. They've been really great for us in the past couple of months winning important games for us along the way!

Me too, especially Pirlo but we know how vital he is and we need to keep winning.

Esajas is in the squad!

They are getting the rest so it is good as they have played a lot this season. They will come back stronger and fresher. We have a tough two months to deal with so we need our stars at their best.
