Do you think we can swap him back to our cugini and try to get Adriano this time ?
That would make everyone happy, since Inter need a decent defender and Adriano wants to play for Milan. He said so himself.

Simic played against udinese
In the Coppa. That pretty much proves my point, doesn't it?

Possible lineup update:

MILAN (4-3-1-2): 1 Dida, 26 Pancaro, 13 Nesta, 3 Maldini, 4 Kaladze, 8 Gattuso, 21 Pirlo, 20 Seedorf, 10 Rui Costa, 7 Shevchenko, 15 Tomasson. (17 Abbiati, 5 Costacurta, 14 Simic, 24 Dhorasoo, 32 Brocchi, 23 Ambrosini, 27 Serginho). All. Ancelotti

WE MUST WIN

Still an intimidating lineup despite resting Cafu & Crespo and Kaka suspended  I'd prefer Ambrosini to start ahead of Gattuso though ;)

Matches in Serie A & Serie B have been postponed due to The Pope's ill health... :frownani:

For the players, they'll have a bit more rest till the upcoming Euroderby. Does anyone know if Kaka's suspension will now be carried forward to the next match against Siena away?

I dont think they will keep suspending the games, and its a nice gesture.Wouldn't be easy playing and watching football, wen he is on so many peoples minds.

Sport should be void of extra-sportive interferences such as religion, politics, and so on. It's a pity a good man like Karol is suffering, dying, and it's only normal he's treated with respect. But then again, suspending week end sport for the suffering (not even death) of one (albeit powerful, respected and good) man is a bridge too far. They didn't suspend Serie A for the victims of the tsunami, nor did they suspend the CL-matches following the terrorist attack on the WTC-towers. Every day 40 000 children die...will they do the same when the Dalai Lama is suffering like John PaulII?

The pope has been suffering for several years now, and I believe he has earned a place in heaven for the good work he has done here on earth..I don't like suffering, and I'll be happy to see him reunited with his father again. Goodbye Karol.

the pope died

it was clear that these were his last few days, and it was expected thats why it was suspended

i dont see most players playing thier hearts out, since most are avid catholics, esp gatusso who always crosses himself and says a prayer before he steps onto the field.

thats why they suspend games in italy, cause the church is big deal to many italians and many players

a show of respect.

btw i am an aethist so dont presume i had ulterior motives

It would have been unfair on a lot of people if the games were played today. A lot of players and fans may not have been able to concentrate properly, and they may not have wanted to play or watch Football. The Pope has passed away, so may he Rest In Peace!

I am not a Catholic but I applaud the decision to postpone this weekend's games in view of what happened. As said, football and religion are both very important for an Italian, and it is only out of respect that football takes a back seat while the country prays and now mourn the passing of the Pope.

My only worry is that Sheva's match fitness. He hasn't play any game after injured. Vs Brescia could have been a good chance for him to find form before Euro derby.

i wouldnt be too worried :) the injury didnt affect his legs he would have been training for quite some time now. don't forget what happend against lazio after he came back from an ankle injury, and i doubt carlo would play him unless he was 100% sure he can cause inter some problems. he'll probably come off after 60 minutes in place of rui to revert back to the xmas tree anyway.
