Alessandro Nesta has voiced his intention to end his playing days with Italian
giants Milan.

"I signed a five-year contract and if the club want to extend that when it
expires then I see no reason why I shouldn’t hang up my boots here," he told
‘Milan Channel’.

Nesta joined the Rossoneri in 2002 after Lazio were forced to sell their
'symbol' because of their financial difficulties.

"I must thank the Milan fans because even if they wanted to liken me to Franco
Baresi they’ve just allowed me to be myself," he added.

"Baresi himself has also been very important. He took me to one side last year
when things weren’t going so well for me. That helped."

Nesta has now settled in at the San Siro and he’s been a major factor in the
club’s recent success.

"I still have objectives that I want to achieve though," added the stopper. "I
want to win something in Japan.

"That country has brought me misfortune in the past. First of all there was the
World Cup and then we lost the Intercontinental Cup there. I want to make up for
those losses."
