Agreed Rod; hoping Brahim, Hauge, Tonali, Castelljo, Dalot, Colombo can step up and for EL & Coppa matches. So that Hakan, Ibra, Rebic can focus much in Serie A.

Many very solid performances today. Kjaer, Kessie, Donnarumma, Calabria, Leao, etc. Huge boost for the season, no doubt...and it's the perfect time for it.

As for us, we got a good lesson about playing fullbacks as CBs. 🥴

Thanks Fird... classy as ever (y)

I think you guys will win the scudetto if Conte doesn't screw it up. You have all the right pieces. An Eriksen - Brozovic tandem can control any midfield, if Eriksen is given the chance to show his true self (if he can't he should of course leave). Perisic needs to play a left-sided attacking role.

If Eriksen can provide a bit more finesse in midfield/attack they will look better. Inter in midfield and attack are very intense and physically strong, but just need someone who can orchestrate better. Eriksen ought to be the solution, but he looks out of sorts in the Inter jersey. No confidence at all. He needs to start against the weaker teams for a start...
Their defence needs a lot of work, needless to say...

Liking Ibra's post-game comments (the ones I've made bold).

From football italia:

Milan hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic was ‘hungry’ for success against Inter after two weeks in quarantine. ‘Nobody was going to stop me playing in the derby.’

The 39-year-old was making his comeback after a bout of COVID-19, yet scored two goals as Milan won the Derby della Madonnina 2-1.

“Milan hadn’t won the derby in four years, I was stuck at home for two weeks, so I was hungry and it showed,” Ibrahimovic told Sky Sport Italia.

“I lost my sense of taste a little bit, but I had a swab every three days and nobody was going to stop me playing the derby.”

“I’m disappointed that the penalty was saved, but the important thing is that the team won. I am the oldest in the squad, I feel a lot of responsibility and I like that feeling, as they all follow my lead and are hungry to win.”

Ibra was asked if he was amazed by his own performances, but of course the answer was no.

“I know my level. After the injury, I went to America in order to feel alive. I told Jose Mourinho at Manchester United that I wasn’t ready and didn’t want to be a disappointment, so I went to America.

“Mino Raiola told me to return to Europe, they told me Milan needed me, so I came. I feel like a more complete player now than I was 10 years ago. If I had the fitness levels I did 10 years ago, nobody would stop me. Mind you, they can’t stop me now either.

I train hard, I play with experience and teammates who are ready to help out. I won’t accept them taking their foot off the gas, in training or in a match. We must always train at 200 per cent.

After a perfect start to the season, can Milan win the Scudetto?

“We are taking it one game at a time,” continued Zlatan. “When I arrived, the objective was qualifying for Europe and we did it. I do think the Scudetto is a possibility, because if you believe, then you can achieve anything. There’s a long way to go, though.”

BTW; i have watched the Napoli match too; looks like Gatusso has applied the similar tactics like ours and played well. Osimihen is a beast.

Good win so congrats to the guys.

It is evident we will start dropping points sooner than later but if the rest are also doing the same we can have a chance for 4th...unlike what I thought before the start of the season ;)

Beside Romagnoli and to some point Theo the rest did well, and many of you mentioned the best performers. I would add Bennacer as a stand out as well, and his quickness saved us couple of times.

Surprised by Alexis who is improving a lot and now he is clearly way ahead of Samu.

Hope to keep the pace until January and it might convince the owners to invest a bit ffs.
