Sinisa Mihajlovic has quit international soccer, the Belgrade daily Sportski zurnal reported on Thursday.
His last appearance came in the crushing 6-1 defeat by the
Netherlands in their Euro 2000 quarter-final.

"I thought about retiring during the Euro 2000 qualifying
campaign and then after the match with Croatia but I wanted have one last go at the European championship finals," Miha told the paper.

"My dreams of a fitting end didn't come true as we made an
undignified exit from the competition.

"The time has come to call it the day and give young players a chance."

I suppose that's the reason why he played so awful(he ain't turning awful yet like some of us think he is) in euro 2000.he didn't play with all his heart that time,it's different with Couto who played great and gave all his best that time.So i believe that Miha will still be a starter next season.
