Like last season's thread, I will start with the disclaimer that alot of this will be based on our survival.

So some of the questions of the summer:

-Comotto to Fiorentina? What does he really feel about Toro?
-Will Rosina leave or not after a fairly disappointing season?
-What will we do about our continued striking woes?

We have reportedly been tracking Daniele Cacia and Eren Derdiyok. Both would be good, but after watching some videos of Derdiyok, I think he would be a good signing. He's just 19 and has already scored a goal for the Swiss senior national team plus 14 goals in 12 appearances at the youth international level. He's a tall, powerful striker that I wouldn't mind having. Plays for FC Basel in the Swiss Super League. Here's a video of his first international goal (against England at Wembley):

Now that we're definitely safe, here are some ideas I have for our mercato:

Out

Oguro (to Serie B or perhaps back to France)
Stellone (perhaps to an ambitious Serie B team - one of the promotion contenders that doesn't make it)
Motta, Pisano, Recoba (loan return to Udinese, Palermo, Inter)
Lanna (to Serie B team)
Franceschini (useless - to Serie B team)
Lazetic (to Serie B or back to Serbia)
Comotto (to Fiorentina)
Ogbonna (loan him back out)
Melara (perhaps a permanent deal at Livorno)
Corini (out of contract)
Fontana (love him, but he should go get some first team football before his career is out)

In

Dellafiore (on a permanent deal)
One of Fiorentina's young strikers on loan (Osvaldo, Lupoli, or Cacia)
Bernard Mendy (free from PSG who look like they are going down)
An experienced striker - Lucarelli if Parma go down
Vailatti (returns from Livorno)
Maybe Dainelli from Fiorentina - easily better than Franceschini and could give Dellafiore and Natali some competition
Young full-back that can preferably play both sides - perhaps Potenza from Fiorentina?
Tavano from Livorno could be a good buy only thing is what would we do with both him and Rosina?

Lucarelli (Ventola) - Cacia (Di Michele)
Rosina (Tavano)
Barone (Zanetti) - Grella (Bottone) - Diana (Vailatti)
Rubin (Potenza) - Dellafiore (Natali) - Dainelli (Di Loreto) - Mendy (Potenza)
Sereni (Gomis)

We'll also have Bjelanovic, Malonga, and Asamoah on the roster.

Our attack could also look something like this to give Tavano more time if we got him:

Lucarelli
Rosina - Tavano

This is all speculative of course. Thoughts?

he say he will stay with parma even they are in B.
and we have an experienced striker already-di michele

btw,we should do the discussion with 2 versions, rumours from media and our own thoughts

I'm not a huge fan of Motta TBH, he hasn't really been able to fill Comotto's shoes while the latter has been injured, plus Udinese might not want him.

As for Lucarelli, I know what he said about Parma, but in truth it might not be entirely up to him, it is possible that Parma couldn't afford to keep him. Plus, when I say experienced, I mean a proven goalscorer, which Di Michele is absolutely not. I don't want a striker that is going to blaze over the bar half the chances he gets with an open net.

1.rosina and di michele stay
2.cairo will spend 10 million for a striker——denis,lucarelli,cacia,acquafresca,corradi,pazzini.
3.a new central defender to partner with natali
4.a new right fullback. udinese will take back motta
5.a young commander. corini will renew

I read many many rumours on various Fiorentina sites that Cacia is 99% likely to join you on loan, we will see.

Acquafresca also seems to be a popular choice in the rumors.

It looks like Mario Beretta's contract talks with Siena are stalling out. Wouldn't be a bad shout for the bench if we don't keep De Biasi (though right now the official position is that we will). Also Mimmo Di Carlo wouldn't be bad. I know I said I didn't want him before over De Biasi, but that was in the context of the relegation battle where we needed De Biasi's experience.

Worth noting that we will get a new Director of Sport this year that apparently will have significant power in our mercato. Some rumored names are Acquafresca, Borriello, Pazzini, and Denis. Two of those (Acquafresca and Denis) are alot more realistic than the other pair, but maybe Cairo is coming to see that he will need to spend on players of better quality than Ventola and Di Michele if he wants an attack that will put us into the UEFA places next season. Also, Cacia to Torino, even on loan depends on the decision that Fiorentina take with Vieri's contract in the coming weeks. Lastly, we are also in the hunt for Liverani, but Palermo, Napoli, and Genoa are also looking at him and it is possible that Fiorentina will try and get him to sign a new deal.

I'm sure both Vieri and Cacia will leave us, the latter yesterday gave interview, where he said that if he could decide once again, he'd have stayed in Piacenza. And also stated that he'd like to join Chievo in case they get promoted :googly:

Most rumours though, see Cacia as part of Comotto deal.

As for coach, I have nothing against De Biasi, but I guess Toro would need some fresh blood. And not old school like Novellino was, I could imagine Di Carlo, or Colantuono if he was freed.

Yeah...I wonder how much speed he's still got in him. Surely he couldn't play all the time but if he's still reasonably fast and is willing to take a pay cut I wouldn't mind.
