It is not the first time that there are "flare-ups" at Formello. I also herad that there was an argument between Nesta & fans that were at formello.

Anyone has more details?

The tension is high at Formello these days. Many fans around the training ground have invited the players to loose against Inter, and to already go on vacation as they have done the whole season.

The players were however protected by an important number of police, but the words from the fans did still cause tension during the training session. Pancaro was repeatedly insulted, which caused that Nesta got mad and told the fans to go to hell.

And suddenly many players have physical problems.

And it could have to do with the fact that some players have been threatened by fans.

Ciao,
Tommi

"Lazio stars Gaizka Mendieta and Francesco Colonnese have been involved in a training-ground fight ahead of Sunday's crucial last league match with Serie A leaders Internazionale.

Lazio centre-back Fernando Couto broke up the trouble at Formello, which comes at the end of another torrid week for the club.

Victory is necessary on Sunday if Lazio are to secure a Uefa Cup place for next season, although doubt hangs over the future of coach Alberto Zaccheroni going into the game.

It is believed that club president Sergio Cragnotti has already sounded out Roberto Mancini about taking the reins in the summer.

Argentina forwards Hernan Crespo and Claudio Lopez have also picked up injuries in training this week and may not be fit to face Inter.

Crespo has pulled a muscle in his left buttock, while Claudio Lopez is struggling with a sore tendon in his right knee.

Lazio fans have vowed to support Inter on Sunday at the Stadio Olimpico as they fear a victory for their own team could hand the Scudetto to city rivals Roma."
