Reasons:

- Defeated Turkey by a score of 3-0 to take Ukraine pad their lead to 11 points
- Andrei Shevchenko nominated for Ballon d'Or and FIFA Player of the Year
- Dnipro winning their group and advancing into the next round of UEFA Cup
- Dynamo making a name for themselves as the "Suprise Team" in Champions League, could advance to round of 16
- Shakhtar defeating Barcalona 2-0 to advance to UEFA Cup
- Metalurh and Volyn suprising some critics and raising a few eyebrows
- With a draw in the Ukrainian Cup Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih can clinch a UEFA Cup qualifier for next season

Congratulations to Ukrainian Football, and giving your fans hope that good times are on it's way! :)

i personally wouldn't call Dynamo a surprise team, they've proven themselves in Europe.

Donetsk has made Donbas proud by defeating Barca 2-0. proud in the face of opression and occupatin. forza Shaktyor!

Well no suprise team now, but 3 Ukrainian teams that are serious contenders for the UEFA Cup is awesome!

I have been to Kyiv recently, and surely I couldn't have failed to visit Maidan and to join the crowds of protesting people. Nice we have won so far.

It is not the most pleasant thing to wear orange string on the hand permanently in the streets, to be honest. :) We're still quite numerous here, far not 2,03% as the government pretended to show. :fero:
