Terry Butcher continues to get the best out of his squad who for a number of seasons now have been punching above their weight. They are always there or there about when it comes to a top 6 position at the split despite the average squad they have.

This is a big game for them. At this point in time they are a point behind Aberdeen and a point ahead of Inverness. All 3 of them are contesting the last top 6 spot. Aberdeen are in pole position but have a game at home to Hibs with Inverness posiibly getting in at the last moment by beating Livingston away.

Eck, manager

The team that Eck put out against Dundee United was a joke. Lots of quality, lots of goals in it but very risky away from home. He got away with it and actually the overall performance was well above what we have seen all season. It was one of Rangers' better games in the SPL all season and hopefully this will continue.

Again though Eck still took the time to kick Klos in the teeth. I really cannot wait for Eck to leave. He will probably go with this side depending on whether Burke is fit or not.

End of the day... if we keep playing with four strikers (that's what they are) in one side, we'll run into trouble. Nevertheless we seem to be on a good run, so it's all about whether we've A) Got the legs to keep going, and B) Got the ability to overcome Celtic and Hearts.

I think we'll take care of Motherwell easily enough, touch wood.

I don't know. I quite like the way we're playing. Prso might be a striker, but I think he works hard enough and is effective enough to play on the left for the rest of the season. The only one of the 4 i'd rather not see playing is probably Lovenkrands. I'd rather see Burke there when he's fit. But apart from that I don't think we have a lot of options in these positions.

I don't think the inclusion of Namouchi, Gavin Rae, or Ian Murray into midfield would really improve us.

well that was yet another dire saturday afternoon in a whole season of dire saturday afternoons

at least we got the victory (deserved?! not much - we had most of the possession but motherwell has the 2 best chances of the match and the mullet pulled off two great saves from them)

hearts increased their already superior goal difference significantly today too...

Definitely a 4 point gap now. We have to hope Hibs can pick themselves up in time for the derby. Even with that we will be struggling with the trip to Celtic Park which will be the only game Celtic will really be 100% motivated for until the season ends.

Cant see us doing it to be honest.
Its going to take a monumental effort, something that the current team dont look like achieving.
I was sorely disappointed about yesterday, the whole day just seemed 'off'
