Really don't know what is happening to Milan, they've change ownership, management, and even coaches but still problems persist and they seem to get worse with every passing season. During the summer they've lost a few players on a Bosman as they chose not to renew their expiring contracts, including Zapata, Strinic, Bertolacci, Abate, Jose Mauri and Montolivio in turn saving alot of money on the payroll and reinvesting that into new promising players like Leao, Hernandez, Duarte and Bennacer. So on paper, the team has been strengthened as the core of players remained and more players were added to the team. Not playing in Europe should've been an added advantage too, having more time to rest between matches and more training sessions to implement the required tactical plans.
A lot of Milan's performances and results came due to childish individual mistakes, basic errors and sometimes negligence from players. I believe this is down to not having a real leader in the team. Or even a strong figure like Gattuso to keep players in check.
Enough of Milan, this is what Sarri is expected to lineup tonight:
This is probably the sexiest team Sarri can go for (only Dybala missing from making it a Football Manager team).
Costa is fresh from scoring THAT wonder goal, while Matuidi. Cuadrado and de Ligt were completely rested.
With all those players on the pitch there is no excuse not to create a lot of chances, score a lot of goals and win the match.
The only worry is that the team could be exposed defensively.
A win is a must before the International Break, to stay ahead of Inter who beat Verona last night.
