Not really fond of this leauge, although it has some excitements here and there...... :lick:

The Leauge is tight and there is no suprises being made. Although its filled with defunct teams and amatures, it does look as if they are makign a push to try and make it in Leumit. The race for first looks very strong and alive. As a 9 teams are a potential contender for 1st.

Before the break, Hapoel Jerusalem took first an maintained that lead for a while. Having been relegated last year, they want to avenge and try to go into Leumit and eventually into the top flight.

1. Hapoel Jerusalem 23 48
2. Maccabi Kiryat Ata 24 44
-----------------------------------
3. Hapoel Bnei Jadida 24 42
4. Hapoel Marmorek Rehovot 24 37
5. Maccabi Kfar Kana 24 35
6. Hapoel Ashkelon 24 34
7. Sektzia Nes Tziona 24 31
8. Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv 23 30
9. Hapoel Bnei Tamra 24 30

10. Maccabi HaShikma Ramat Hen 24 27
------------------------------------
11. Maccabi Tirat Carmel 24 26
12. Hapoel Kfar Shelem 24 10

Biggest Suprises:
Maccabi Kiriat Ata -
Although they are a small level team, they are really tough this season. They are considered Liga Bet or Gimmel material, but they are a very strong side for their own good..... and as a result, they make have a position to become in Liga Leumit...though it may be intresting where they end up in.

Biggest upsets:
Beitar/Shimshon Tel Aviv -
Since joining together in 2000, the team didnt see any light or any return to the top flight. They should have done good and with the win vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv, peopel were naming them the cinderella of the State cup. But they are mediocre and they dont seem to move away from their losses and go to the top.

Hapoel Ashkelon -
Like Beitar/Shimshon, Ashkelon had a really good team, with some suprising names who came out of the team like Bonni Ginzburg and Barak Itzhaki, you may assume they would strie for a top position....but instead they are faltering and getting comfy in Israel's 3rd division. A real sad case when you see how Ashkelon is....great stadium, great name...but no cigar....... :(

Hapoel Jerusalem will certainly promote. Kiriat Ata is a strong candidate for the second spot and since the closest contender is Jadida i think that Kiriat Ata with a bit more expereince in Leumit will follow the Jerusalemites.

Who will be relegated?

For now, i think its Kfar shalem.
But for the 2nd spot of relegation, it can go to anyone?

From Tirat Ha Carmel to Sektzia Nes Ziona......
so its open up for a competition.....

Where do you get the results of the lower leagues? I have several sites which I use to follow the premier division and second division, but it is hard to find the lower leagues. I know I sound silly but I have a soft spot for the town of Eilat and I'd be curious to see how Bnei Eilat is doing :) (but they are in 6th division only, lowest of all leagues :()

Hapoel Marmorek Rehovot 1 - 1 Hapoel Ashkelon
Hapoel Bnei Jadida 0 - 1 Sektzia Nes Tziona
Maccabi Kfar Kana 0 - 0 Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv

Not much has changed overall in the past round. Kiriat Ata and Jerusalem won evenly putting there lead greater now.
As well as Ramat HaShikma and Kfar Salem both lost, making there relegation cloud more and more shadowy.

Not much action here, and it seems like K. Ata and Jerusalem might be promoted...though there is still a few rounds left, and if they lose every game, than i think you will see change....

The only major thing to look at right now is what is going on in the lower tables. As Hashikma Ramat Hen has a chance to go and get out of relegation with a few wins, since the gap is not as much...

11. Maccabi HaShikma Ramat Hen 29 28

Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv 2 - 0 Hapoel Kfar Shelem
Hapoel Bnei Tamra 2 - 0 Hapoel Bnei Jadida
Sektzia Nes Tziona 0 - 1 Maccabi Kiryat Ata
Hapoel Ashkelon 1 - 1 Maccabi Kfar Kana
Maccabi Tirat Carmel 0 - 1 Hapoel Jerusalem
Maccabi HaShikma Ramat Hen 3 - 4 Hapoel Marmorek Rehovot

Doesnt look like there is any exciting runs now...as both relegation zone and promotion zone seem to widen and become a lucrative thing for only those 4 teams.....
So im not really hyped about this round, although there was alot of wins and just 1 tie.
Other than that Kiriat Arba looks set for Promotion in the big leauge (not quite....) and Hapoel Jerusalem might as well clinched it already...

I dont know why Hapoel Ashkelon didnt do it..

but Beitar Shishom is too busy with the state cup..so they lost their attention.

Ashkelon seems like the top of the top in the lower leauges and because of their home base and a few other things, they feel they are strong.....which they arent...to our standards..

Maccabi Kiryat Ata 1 - 1 Hapoel Bnei Tamra
Hapoel Bnei Jadida 2 - 0 Maccabi Tirat Carmel

Not much changed. Alot of action has been going on in the mid table... the low just got lowered and the top just got better.....

Beitar SHimshon focused so much on the State that they forgot they are in 3rd division and are close to relegation, though the ladder 2 arent even to compare with B/S Tel Aviv

Not something to look special too.. Sorry i missed round 31...
But....its seems that the top have a lead and the bottom have a sure short in relegation. I dont see any action in both ends and i dont follow much in the mid table...so this is what you get :(

Unless Ramat Hen wins something and goes out of relegation ...

Not much. Same old action. Jerusalem on top. Kiriat Ata to follow.
Maccabi Ramat Hashikma Hen and Maccabi Tirat Carmel, both who have lossed this round would be the only eye-sore to look at if they will make it in/out of relegation or succomb and go to Liga Alef!
