Scolari is to be new Vasco coach
Vice-president of football at Vasco, Eurico Miranda, revealed in a television interview yesterday that Luiz Felipe Scolari will take over as manager at Vasco. "He will take command as soon as Palmeiras finish their participation in the Copa do Brasil, although I haven't made any financial arrangement with him. We have a spoken agreement and will make a contract of a minimum of two years", Miranda said. Palmeiras are set to face São Paulo in the second leg of the semi-final on Tuesday and, after having lost 2 x 1 in the first leg, if they draw or lose Scolari will be free to move to Vasco.
