Are you sure about Roma selling him as they are supposed to be selling Totti and it wouldn't make sence to sell both.
As for Nakata ,I think he is a good player but he is a goalmine in the fact that his spins off (Japan tv Rights , shirts etc) are worth a fortune to Roma also.

Can't see Roma selling their best player and keeping a player who is not as good.

Nakata is a superb player.

I saw him in the J-League when he was 17 and he scored some neat goals with his good control and technique. In fact he scored a similiar goal to Robbie Fowler's goal at Brann Bergen in the Cup-Winners Cup a few years back (flicked a long ball past a defender on the left flank, cut in and volleying past the keeper), and that was before Fowler scored it!

He was very good at Perugia but not at Roma simply because Roma players are unwilling to allow a player from a "3rd World Footballing Nation" to be so "big". Watch their games and you'll see the players reluctance to pass the ball to Nakata, unlike at Perugia where he was their starman.

I think Roma lost their head in the title race due to Nakata's signing, not due to Nakata's imcompetence, but to the selfish and big-headed players who refused to co-operate. They may say all the nice things during interviews but it became clear when the games were played.

Yea I've noticed that too LFC...I've seen Nakata in the J-League and Perguia and he was really the star member for the team. But in Roma, the other players, somewhat jealous of his huge media and commercial demand don't really involve him in the flow of play.
Hmm...I'm thinking Roma will sell Nakata (partly due to the manager not agreeing to the 60% of games for next season) and hopefully he can move to a English team...Man United most preferably. :)

Commercialism - it would mean more money for Edwards so that makes it more important than anyone else.
Roma's season is bad cos they rely on Totti way too much. When he plays weel they are more likely to win, if he is anon then they are likely to lose. Nakarta is in the wrong position in the team and is similar to Totti.

I wouldn't mind him at LIverpool, though he's gonna cost a lot of wonga. He may be the creative midfielder we need.

nakata and totti play in exact same position-
behind the 2 strikers..
and right now nakata is playing as defensive mid!

but as i said..there's a clause meaning he can leave if he doesn;t start 60% of matches
and capello said next season he wouldn't be able to guarantee that!!

there's not only that he's a quality player but also..lots of marketing and commercialisation.....

Do we want this though. I want people to like the pool cos of what they have achieved and not cos 1 player plays for them.

Nakata is a great player but I think he can settle in Liverpool - once again I think he doesn't fit into the system Houllier is playing. He may turn out to be a complete wastage.
