Manchester United is keen to recruit 34-year-old French defender Laurent Blanc from Inter Milan on a two-year contract.

United wants Blanc while it waits for Sol Campbell's Tottenham contract to expire at the end of next season, when it will sign the England defender on a free transfer.

blanc was one of the best defenders in serie A this year and has still one year left with inter,and he is already 35 so i think he will finish his career in inter.

I think Man Utd will not make any more big buys during the Summer now that theyv'e heavily invested in Barthez.

Fergusson is however still in the hunt for another defender and midfielder, not a striker, despite the dead deal of Van Nistelrooij.
