Mallorca are aiming to boost their bid for survival by signing Brazilian star Rivaldo.
The experienced attacker is currently playing in Greece for Olympiakos but Mallorca want to strike a loan deal for Rivaldo.
The Balearic side are currently second bottom in La Liga and coach Hector Cuper is desperate for reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
Cuper is reported to have pinpointed Rivaldo as the man to inject some spark into the team for the second half of the season.
Officials from Mallorca are understood to have contacted Rivaldo's representatives to discover if the 32-year-old would be interested in a return to La Liga.
The former Barcelona ace only joined Olympiakos last summer and signed a two-year contract with the Greek giants.
With Olympiakos playing in the Uefa Cup later in the campaign, they may be reluctant to lose Rivaldo but Mallorca are testing their resolve with a loan offer.

32 only. Cuper would not be as "good" as Van Gaal I hope... if true. He might work a role like Riquelme at Villa. Rivaldo felt desparate after the Greek club got out from UCL. He himself may like a move back to Spain. He lacks some loyalty though. :pp
