the upcoming game looks very promising with our old "cousins" from croatia. it's cool that our friend nation come to skopje at the end of the month. each time, our both teams gave entertaining games while facing each other.
i welcome my friends from the croatian board here to express their feelings about this game.
i've read Otto Baric will make some experiments like changing the keeper (didulica or butina instaed of pletikosa). have you any other info ? i bet DerbyCounty has ! ;)

didulica will be the number one. hopefully he won't in Euro 2004 becuase Pletikosa should be our number 1. Butina will also get some time as well so it looks like Plete will not play.

Sasa Ciric back to the National Team !

incredible ! kanatlarovski will call him for the game against Croatia in Skopje. the Nurnberg's player is now 35 !

Ilco Naumoski seems to be out of the NT again... we don't know exactly why : has he recovered completely from his injury ? does his club not want to release him ? let's see. we'll miss him a lot.

Robert Popov, Ilco Naumoski, Georgi hristov won't because they're all injured. they suffer from knee problems and won't for at least 5 months. it's a huge blow for us.
trajanov is back and it's good for our midfield.
we'll certainly welcome a newcomer for this game : goran Popov. our wonderboy is making an amazing season for AEK athens. he's only 19.
with this game Sasa Ciric will say goodbye to the Nt. he'll certianly end his career at the end of the season.

Thank you Saso ! we'll miss you.

I see Mile Krstev is included in the squad. He's doing pretty well at Groningen, has a devastating shot and takes a good freekick. Other than that it's clear that he reads the game very well.

I still remember the tied match in Skoplje in the 2000 qualifying campaign which proved to be very important to us at the time.

I wish you all the luck against the Croats! ;)

Ciric in Macedonian farewell
Wednesday, 21 April 2004
Striker Saša Ciric will make a farewell appearance for F.Y.R. Macedonia in their friendly against Croatia on Wednesday before retiring from international football.

Goalscoring record
The 36-year-old, who plays for 1. FC Nürnberg in Germany, will take part in just 15 minutes of the game in Skopje before hanging up his boots. Ciric has 25 international caps, and his eight goals leave him third in his country's scoring chart behind Georgi Hristov and Artim Sakiri.

New faces
National-team coach Dragan Kanatlarovski has called AEK Athens FC defender and former Under-21 player Goran Popov into the senior squad for the first time.

Fourth encounter
F.Y.R. Macedonia and Croatia have met three times, with the Macedonians earning a 1-1 draw in Skopje in a UEFA EURO 2000™ qualifier before losing the return 3-2 in Zagreb. The sides drew 2-2 in a friendly last year.

F.Y.R. Macedonia squad
Miloševski, Nikolovski, Igor Mitrevski, Sedloski, Stavrevski, Stojanovski, Bozinovski, Popov, Vasovski, Aleksandar Mitrevski, Sumulikoski, Sakiri, Krstev, Jancevski, Trajanov, Mustafi, Pandev, Cadikovski, Toleski, Ciric.

congrats to my croatian friends. :)

unfortunately i couldn't watch the game but from i read the macedonian team didn't play well in the 1st half and croatia capitalized its domination through klasnic's header at the 32nd min.. after that we woke up but we missed incredible, shameful chances (cadikovski twice ... i can't wait to seeing hristov and naumoski back...), giving the game pace and rythmn as we can do but it was not enough.
